There were many "opportunities" for those whose names have been mentioned as being the recipients of monetary gifts, commission, donations, or just plain cash from UKSB, to do what needs to be done to kill off this Zahid Hamidi's UKSB ongoing courtroom expose a long time ago when they had the political clout to do so. - but for reasons best known to themselves, they did not do so.
Why not? Was it arrogance or stupidity?
We know that Zahid met with the then Prime Minister, Mahiaddin early into his tenure as PM, to discuss what can be done to drop the charges he was facing in court involving UKSB.
Mahiaddin must have known then that he had received the RM1.3 million from UKSB. He must have known that if the RM1.3 million he received from UKSB was brought up in court, he could be found to be guilty, together with Zahid and the others mentioned, of being corrupt. So why did Mahiaddin not do anything to delay, stop or work out a 'deal' with Zahid Hamidi and the AG, to kill off Zahid's court case?
Am I suggesting that Mahiaddin, as PM, can thwart the course of justice in Malaysia? Hell yes, he can. The Attorney General takes instructions from the Prime Minister - and if the PM tells him to do a deal with Zahid Hamidi, the AG will do a deal with Zahid Haimidi.
BUT...Mahiaddin wanted Zahid Hamidi to have his time in court, be tied up in his legal problems, and, hopefully, be convicted. That way, Mahiaddin had one potential pretender to the PM post - Zahid Hanmidi - out of the way, strengthening his position as the incumbent.
Najib Rajak was well on his way to being a convicted felon. So Mahiaddin thought he need not have to worry too much about Najib being a problem to him because Najib will soon be spending time in Sungai Buloh!
So with Najib and Zahid out of the way, Mahiaddin thought that his tenure as PM was secured.
In his greed for political power he forgot that in the first place, it was Najib's, Zahid's, and Umno's support, that got him the PM's post. Kachang lupakan kulit!
Today, we know that not only is Mahiddin no longer PM, but from the revelation of the UKSB case, we also know that Mahiaddin received RM1.3 million from UKSB. Karma, as they say, is indeed a bitch.
So I guess it was a combination of arrogance, stupidity...and do not forget greed...that has got all these corrupt politicians in a muddle. They really thought that they could take millions in bribes and get away with it....but if truth be told, people take bribes because they think they can keep the bribes and enjoy their ill-gotten gains. Arrogance, stupidity, and greed...welcome to the world of corrupt politicians!
Theres 191 umno divisions and each led by its ketua bahagian. they are each a votebank for the president. umno party election must be held by december 2022. registrar of society reject umnos request for delaying it till after general election. Zahid needs to win. He needs at least 100 ketua bahagian to support him. His criminal case vedict in november 2022 may disqualify him to run. For each ketua bahagian,he may have to have money to help ensure support. Rgt 2mil each is a fair amount until he wins the presidency this december 2022. He therefore needs about rgt200 mil for the 100 ketua bahagians. Failing which, the ketua bahagian aka warlord might support another candidate. It may not be…
