Is Nor Yakcop a brilliant guy? Has he done more than what Tengku Razaligh, Daim and Anwar have done in all their tenure in Cabinet? Did he solve the RENONG, MAS saga? Did he set up a few fund management companies such as Venture Capital, Danajamin, Peneraju etc, and make a success of these ventures? And he was a special adviser for 1MDB too? Amazing guy was he not?
Or is he the sleazy guy with the funny voice? Is Nor Yakcop unfit to fill up high position of authority, Is he the face of corruption. Some say that Nor Yaacob is rubbish indeed! Good for nothing. Bro, I was told, this Nor Yaakub is a real bastard. This guy should be arrested and put behind bars for Treason.
They say that he is not much of a character but trusted by the kleptomaniacs. He is obedient, obsequious to whoever is his boss whether Tun M, Pak Lah, Najib, whoever. Najib put him in as Deputy Chairman Khazanah. That is why he is not only protected, but promoted as well.
He never had any principles and followed hints, instructions, and suggestions without informing his superiors of the adverse implications. He was too eager to oblige and obey, and public funds were utilized imprudently. ‘Buaya mana tak makan bangkai?’ is probably the most apt description of him. Maybe I should dig on the BNM forex debacle in the late 90s. Don’t understand why, during PH, he was not investigated. Dia ni buat orang benci Umno.
Does he owns properties of about, RM200m in London? Under family names. He does spend plenty of time in London.
Hasbie, his one-time powerful political secretary, owns many luxurious condos and was found with millions of RM cash in his condo by MACC. I am told that when his son got married, the gift was a Ferrari. Hasbie was charged with corruption. As usual, the case was stamped NFA and closed.
Nor Yakcop has three sons, Nazir, Ridzuan and Khairul Anwar driving around in Lamborghinis and Porsches. It helps if the father is a prominent member in political circles and a Minister in The Prime Minister’s Department. And they are involved in racing. Racing is an expensive sport. Car and machine only last for one race. These are not cheap cars. Furthermore, there is testing, practices, machinist, mechanics, travel, drivers, etc to spend on. Where do they get the money?
The government wanted to take over Halim Saad shares in Renong and UEM and Blacula. Nor Yakcop worked out the details on behalf of the Government, but in the end, he reneged on the deal that was agreed to with Halim. Nor Yakcop abused his power to disallow Tajuddin to use the proceeds from the sale of MAS that was in Naluri Berhad to retire his loans and stole Celcom from him. Nor Yakcop and Khazanah acquired UEM-Renong, and Naluri-Celcom-MAS through fraudulent means.
The country needs honest, straightforward public servants, not populists and opportunists. Enough said.

I always believed Nor Yakcop was is scum. He, with some other civil servants turned businessmen, played havoc with the Bumiputera policy and enriched themselves beyond belief. Mahathir encouraged this in his belief that making Malay millionaires and billionaires was the way to help Bumiputeras. What a waste of a nation's wealth!
