Over 6000 KM away from KL, in Melbourne, on a Tuesday morning, I can without fear or favor, ask :
Will Tun Mahathir and DSAI do the right thing?
What is the 'right thing' for Tun and DSAI should do?
The answers you get will be of the Shakespearean genre, "to be or not to be". Yes! To be or not to be prime minister. Tun has been prime minister twice and DSAI, never, and therein lies the deepest cut of it all.
These two have dominated the political landscape for the past three decades since 1982 when Anwar joined Mahathir’s party, Umno. And what Umno put together in 1982, Umno has since wrecked asunder. What Umno has wrecked asunder, remains wrecked. The bitterness and rancor, between Tun and DSAI, remain. Neither wants to rise above the ordinary and reach out sincerely to the other, and make peace.
These two are now locked in mortal political combat. The cut and thrust of politics have inflicted much harm on not only these two individuals but also upon us all - the rakyat. We took sides, we cheered for one and boo the other. We pitted one against the other and when all else failed, agreed in PRU14, that maybe, just maybe, these two should try working with each other.
No can do.
And so now, common sense had prevailed, and the electorates are now looking beyond Tun and DSAI.
They want to know who is in Tun's GTA and who is with DSAI in Pakatan Harapan? The 'TEAM' in GTA and the 'TEAM' in PH are being looked at by the electorates for the things that they can do if they are in government. And more critical - can they do government?
It is not my intent to go into the pros and cons of either TEAM GTA or TEAM PH. Suffice to say that it is in our interest that these two teams work together rather than against each other in PRU15.
And that is where we are now - assessing the suitability of TEAM PH and TEAM GTA to do government, before polling day in November. It is a work in progress, with, if you want to be real, with little, or practically no hope for success. We are hoping against hope that this will change.
In all this push and pull between TEAM GTA and TEAM PH, there really is no TEAM BN.
With Wak Zahid in the driving seat of TEAM BN, all that now remains is to see what will remain of Umno after PRU15 after the rakyat has cast their votes. Given what Wak Zahid had done in these past few weeks - chief of which is in moronically insisting that an election be held in the coming monsoon months to ensure that he, the Umno court cluster, and the convicted felon be free men again. I think the electorate will punish Wak Zahid and BN to its heart's content!.
What will then be left of Umno? Not much, I suspect.
We must be united for a better tomorrow! We all have our differences, even in the most close knit families , and we learn to accept and tolerate the differences , and live together harmoniously. ❤️
We share many differences, and some may not be compromised. We are where we are today is an accumulation of wrongful implementation of policies. If we keep looking back, we won't be able to move forward. With so many new party mushrooming up, we are more divided then before. We all have to put aside all our differences for now to fight a common cause, that's to end kleptocracy and corruption if I am right. Anwar and Mahathir have to unite once again even though I know it will have problems later on, but for now we have to see the bigger picture, to bring down BN.
We shall always have faith in hope, just like theres ethics in evil.😍🙏
