ANON - LONDON
Where are the good capable people who produce good results?
We need to produce good people
There is nothing wrong with the structure. We had bad people They abused the system. This is amply evident. We had a dishonest AG and a dishonest PM not failing to mention untold selfish self-serving politicians abusing basic freedoms for their selfish purposes.
We cannot fault the system. The country's basic laws and systems are fine. What needs to be done is to work from the bottom up, and that is by overhauling the entire education system.
The country needs to make generational changes that unite people of all ages to understand and prioritise the future well-being, interests and love of the nation. Anyone who thinks of race religion and language only and nothing else is a danger to everyone. These people never mind who they are should be in jail. The system will deliver peace and prosperity. HSR or no HSR whether the King has absolute power or not does not matter..that is no assurance nor proof of peace nor prosperity.
We must be mindful to think and speak within the laws of the country.
You will readily agree that all of us belong to a generation that has been slipping away. We began school with the national and state anthems ending with hailing Daulat Tuanku after we had sung both the National and State Anthems. Somewhere along the line, this stopped.
The anthems are sung but hailing Daulat Tuanku is not heard any more. Only the Rotarians raise a toast to the King. At the last Rotary Dinner I was invited I saw hardly a few Malay Muslims. A few did not stand up or raise the toast. I did not bother to ask anyone why. Somehow it didn't matter.
How did we lapse into such thoughtlessness?
I believe there were leaders insidiously involved in this by flagging out just about every act that did not seem right according to their cultural and religious upbringing. The King is a rallying point for all. Here in London, people get together and at almost every ceremony a toast is raised to the King and Country...its a mere symbolic gesture and it is important as it constantly and spontaneously imbibes a love for the country.
Our generation got things quite right but some rascalite politicians colluded against noble nation-building intentions and scuppered the national direction along the way choosing to create divisions within.
Don't you think?
ANON.
Hello MALAYsian...no one protested agst Zakir for getting PR....AND...agst footballers getting Citizenship....agst Pek Moh's "virgin" bride" .......can yourself deemed Patriot or Traitor complicit....😚😚😚
Where do we get good people when we deselect them from the entry of public universities and the public sector? We get subpar graduates, officials, MPs, ADUNs and Professors.
We are on the path of a systemic regression that is aggravated by the indoctrination of religious bigotry. The already subpar school leavers are taught that it is more important to have a corrupt Muslim leader than an honest Non Muslim, it is OK to live under poor and mismanaged conditions because it is the afterlife that matters.
So, it gets worse and this thoughtlessness would continue until the minds of the Malays are open, hopefully within our lifetime.
A 2/3 majority is never a good idea .. many ideals were eroded during that time 😥
The said AG was rewarded even though he was complicit in the crime. But was never charged. They shouda dragged him to court.
We have not been told the value of the severance package. Plus pension? The elites are robbing the country dry.
The toast ended when i think dr came to power. Under tun razak, the toast with alcohol was still being practiced at least at the lake club.
To produce good people we need good education syllabus. Those not so good in studies can go to vocational, agriculture, or seafarers and oil and gas training colleges. And they all need to be multiingual. If not english, then mandarin or arabic or thai. Arabic can be taught to replac…
We had more than one dishonest PMs and AGs
The country is where it now because of PMs in the past
who took decisions that lead to the current state.
Affirmative policy should have been planned properly
with targets and with an end date
But, it is going on forever and things are worse than when it was started
in all aspects
Then ABIM and Mirage man turned for the party and country \
slowly became Talibanised as successive PMs decided to be more
Islamic than ABIM or PUS
Policies were implemented where created division among races where
there was none before
In haste to empower malays, meritocracy became a casualty and
standards everywhere dropped and still dropping
Nons are…
