Khairy Jamaluddin and Noh Omar have been sacked. Hishamuddin Hussein and other division leaders have been suspended. And in the coming days, more heads will roll as Zahid Hamidi rids himself of those who would be a threat to him in his attempt to retain his position as President of Umno in the coming party elections.
These Umno stalwarts (more like Umno warts really), if KJ words are to be believed, are unbowed, unbent, and unbroken. Really KJ?
There may be some who may appeal against their suspension. And some are looking at options outside Umno.
But I think many will leave politics to live the rest of their lives on their ill-gotten gains in the manner that they have grown accustomed to while they have been in Umno....if their ill-gotten gains do not run out.
Whatever they say they will do, intend to do, and will really do, will depend on how much of their ill-gotten gains they would be prepared to lose, in doing what they do.
Let us look at Khairy.
Who is he without a prime minister as his father-in-law? Who is he if he is no longer the leader of Umno Youth? Who is he when he is no longer Health Minister? Who is he when he is no longer a Member of Parliament? What is he without Umno?
All that KJ has left, is the money he still has in his bank.
How much money he has in his bank is for him to know.
Now tell me, if you are KJ, and, you have all that money in the bank, what would you do?
Risk all the money you have in your bank to continue in politics in the hope that you will be able to win a seat in the next state election and be an ADUN?
Risk all the money you have in the bank at the next federal election to try to make a return to Parliament and then hope, in the years to come, that you will be able to eventually get back to the level that you once were....a minister at the federal level that may...just may...enable you to be what and who you were, when Umno sacked you last week?
Will you risk everything that you have in the bank to do any of the above? Or will you take that offer from TMJ?
As Johan Taharin said....."KJ is a personal friend of Sting and TMJ may buy an Italian football team. Between them, life may be more global, with private jets, unlimited cash, and freedom. It may be more fun than hanging out with Zahid"......kan? 😅
And that, in varying degrees, is what all the other Umno stalwarts aka Umno warts, will have to consider doing now that they are no longer with Umno! Will any of them risk any of the money they already have in their banks or in places unknown...to go back into politics? Because, as you and I know, you need a lot of cash to win elections! Money in the bank is much, much better than no money in the bank! Kan?
In basketball, they have a word for what Zahid Hamidi has done in sacking or suspending anyone in Umno who he thinks will oppose his attempt to remain as president of Umno. In basketball parlance, they call it "slam dunk" ....now Zahid victory at Umno's party election, should be easily achieved.

Ha ha. did ask kj to help once to get epf to buy into a company. his private office was totally rock n roll. I think he had a photograph with bill wyman as well. I think the pix was at sticky fingers before it was closed two yrs ago. i brought the bass player for search, nasir and they got along well. His buddy is jason lo..a rocker for sure!
