Do you remember PRU14? The general election that saw BN, dominated by UMNO, and under Najib Razak's watch, lose power?. Where were you when the EC announced nomination for April 28 and polling for May 9?
Do you remember that polling day was on Wednesday - a weekday! You have to take a day off and lose a days wage to vote BN out of office. And you said bring it on....If I have to lose a days wage to vote BN out, I will lose a days wage willingly!
I heard from our friends all over the place what they did. They met in groups, among friends, with any Malaysians they can gather and they all started planning what they will do come polling day.
Those who can afford to do so, made arrangements to be back in Malaysian on polling day to vote BN out. Those of us who cannot go home to vote BN out, assist, encourage and persuaded others to go home and vote BN out.
We in Melbourne met to do the same things as any other responsible Malaysians abroad do...plan the demise of BN from where we were. We sat down with friends and friendly strangers, notebook in hand, scribbling and jotting down our plans, our responsibilities, and whatever else we need to do to ensure that BN will be voted out. And to those going back, we gave them names and our contacts in Malaysia who would, together with them, vote BN out. And we told them all to get together in Malaysian and do the right thing for us here in Melbourne, and for those in Malaysia - vote BN out.
The excitement was palpable. Everyone we know, and even those we did not know, wanted to be a part, wanted to play a part in voting BN out. It was a crusade..a jihad...focussed on getting BN out.
And we keep telling each other, if we can afford to do so, we will go home to vote BN out for we know that every single vote counts.
All this may now just be a memory..a hazy one at that...but we all remember our part in kicking BN out.
Fast forward September 2022.
Those same meetings among like minded Malaysian, anywhere they are, are starting again.
We are meeting with each other, talking with each other and asking each other just what is happening back home. If truth be told, the atmosphere is, at best, lukewarm. We are just going through the motions of meeting and talking...no oomph!
The realisation that the "Ini Kali" moment will soon be upon us and we must, again, vote BN out. ...but ....we are also asking ourselves.... kick out BN and then what?
The opposition is in disarray. No focus. No solidarity. No direction. No leader. They say they have a big tent but they want to keep others out of the big tent. Not add to it. Too difficult to accomodate everyone. Yes they think that they are going to Putrajaya...but will they get there?
Rafizi and Nurul should take over, they both more capable in term's leadership and skills
The opposition is in disarray because they do not have a competent election director. They did in ge 14.
PH then had a clear set of objectives and goals, understood what the public needs and wants were, able to sit down and figure out how to outmanoevre BN.
They devise strategies and was executed with laserlike precisions.
Anwar didnt even have to campaign(as he was in prison).Tun M did it for him.
The Raja Raja Melayu trusted the word of the election director enough to feel that the Malays and their privilleges are safe.
Now,PH is led by anwar. They are so kelam kabut, running here and there, scold here scold there..
Tak cool lansung🤣🤣🤣
Never doubt the good people!
