It has not been a good week for Syed Saddiq. Just as it must have been a bad week for Anwar Ibrahim in September 1998 when Mahathir fired him as his Deputy and Finance minister. That happens in politics, but as Anwar will tell you, it is not the falling down that measures a man, it is how many times he gets up from a fall, that eventually counts.
Who is this Syed Saddiq?
Saddiq represents millions of youth. He is the "go to" political person for many professionals and community leaders who want what is best for our people and our nation. He is not corrupt, he is principled, and within this man lies the hope of many Malaysians who dare to dream that politicians like Syed Saddiq will emerge to lead them toward building the Malaysia of their dreams.
From that fateful September in 1998 when he was sacked as DPM and Finance Minister, It has taken Anwar twenty-five years to get to where he is now: as prime minister of Malaysia. So Syed Saddiq...be prepared for the long haul. Be prepared for the many trials and tribulations that will surely come your way if politics is to be your life.
In my lifetime, I cannot remember a more determined and committed individual prepared to make sacrifices and work hard towards his stated goal of doing what is best for our people...and always, dia cakap saperti dia bikin.
For sure, he is going through a steep learning curve as politics in Malaysia is a minefield of vested interests, corruption, and a "winner-take-all" reality. But change is now happening even as we speak. The challenge for Syed Saddiq is to sort out the facts from fiction, the riffs from the raffs, and hope that the very people he wants to lead towards a better future, are ready for him.
Meanwhile, watch your back, trust your instincts, and believe in your ability to overcome whatever stands in your way towards the future we all want for Malaysia.
Syed saddiq should reach out to politicians with similar views. Warisan and Gabungan parti sarawak. Wrt future direction of the country.
Currently i see no differences wrt peninsular coalition. Its only the amount of pain they inflict.either too much or slightly less.
Saudi meanwhile has drastically dropped ugama classes from the curriculum by 85%, to be replaced by STEM ( science, technology, engineering, maths) plus mandarin subjects but we are opposite by adding even more agama.
The foundation of any country is its education system. Screw that up, and you have graduates collecting rubbish in Singapore, earning much more than our engineers back home,
He is no future for Malaysia . Just an opportunist.
Seen with Zakir Naik and Mahatir . Tried his luck with
Anwar . Wonder where he will go next. ?? Corruption case
hanging over his head
Everybody thought Anwar was Reformasi man
Turned out to be ReforMATI man
Greetings Ssein, I'll try to be brief. Referring to your excerp from the above: "Syed Siddiq [SS] represents millions of youth. He is the "go to" political person for many professionals and community leaders who want what is best for our people and our nation. He is not corrupt, he is principled, and within this man lies the hope of many Malaysians who dare to dream that politicians like Syed Saddiq will emerge to lead them toward building the Malaysia of their dreams" Are you kidding me? Attached are links from 3 different political commentators. Try defending SS isn't corrupt, principled, "an icon" for millions of M'sian youths". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=daFJdF8vpb4 ; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H1iWg_x2luA; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q5yiRKl0j-c ; Not sure if you were being genuine…
Comparing the youth of Msia vs Thai…… i guess we esp. the Malays are immature in politics. This is as a result of continuous religious bombardment esp during school.
