Some people walk in the rain. Others just get wet!

There is a commonality between you and me. Look deep within yourselves and tell me what you see. Do we not all want the same things?

Today under this Madani government, we already have sunshine and freedom.....but whether we have that "little flower" is still a question being asked. Not all of us can sing like no one is listening, love like we’ve never been hurt, dance like nobody’s watching, and live like it’s heaven on earth. We still need that "little flower" in our lives to be able to do those things. And we want the same things for others too...that is the commonality within us all.

For me, that little flower is the ability to come and go as I please in a country I call my own. For others, it may be the freedom to worship as they please, the ability to earn a decent living, the comfort of knowing that your rights as a citizen of the country you call home are protected and enshrined in the constitution of that country and sometimes, there will be others who will insist on their right to question and get answers to any doubts that they may have for the leaders of their nations whom they think have not done the right thing by them.

I dare to think that under PMX and this Madani government, they have already given us our sunshine and freedom. That is where we are now, but we are still looking for that little flower.

When DSAI promised to lead a government inclusive of everyone. That is the sunshine and freedom. Making it inclusive for everyone, is the little flower.

When DSAI said that he is committed to fighting injustice and corruption. That is the sunshine and freedom. Doing so is the little flower.

When DSAI tells us "KITA BOLEH" to his reform agenda: delivering on that reform agenda is the little flower.

We know the political intrigue that was needed to ensure that PN would not do government. We accept, albeit reluctantly, the inclusion of the corruption-plagued, longtime political opponent UMNO, into the Unity Government that you lead. We will try to understand that there will be times when you will need to navigate the very muddy waters of ethnic politics, and will wish you well in that endeavor.

All this is the sunshine and freedom that is now giving life to our nation and to our people but, Datuk Seri, you must not forget the little flower. The little flower that we all know as the decade-long democratic struggle that still needs to be nurtured and delivered to us in its entirety within the tenure of your time in office as PMX - or at the very least, you need to put into place the foundations to ensure the success of that democratic struggle. Now rather than later.

The Islamization of Malaysian society and institutions must now stop and who better to stop this than the one who started it all - yes Datuk Seri you started it all decades ago under a Mahathir government. We will not forget that, but our little flower is your promise of a more inclusive and democratic Malaysia.

And Datuk Seri, corruption is not a political game to be hurled at one another - when you open investigations and filed police reports against anyone, and against political opponents for defamation, slander, and corruption, that is our sunshine and freedom. Following through is our little flower.

Datuk Seri give us the little flowers that was promised, and we will happily walk in the rain and get wet. Enough said.
