If you care to search and read what I have written, you will find that I have written good and bad on just about any and every political figure of any note. And then, sometimes, even political figures of no note.
I have no abiding loyalty to any one individual in politics. I write as I think fit. Sometimes in the moment, sometimes upon reflection. Most times I am guided by what is right and what is wrong. What is morally and ethically correct. I am what they call a 'loose cannon'. I write for no one. You can be assured that what you read in steadyaku47, comes from me. From my thoughts, my own reflections of things, and what I believe in "at that point in time".
Yes, "at that point in time" because time brings about change in not only the people that I write about but also in me. Over time, I have changed my opinions and adjusted my views and beliefs. Sometimes, I am wrong.
There are also times when what is in my mind, my thoughts, and my beliefs are best left unsaid because the circumstance requires me to do so. Do not second-guess me. I am my own person.
To write about PRU15 when I am, 6000KM away in Melbourne is an impossibility. You need to be on the ground in KL to have a feel of what is going on. That I cannot do. So let me do for PRU15, what I did in 2018 at PRU14. .....and what I did then was to write about PRU14 as I see it.
Having said that, I also include writings by others who may or may not have views different from mine - views that I respect and want to share with you guys because I think we would be the better for it.
At PRU15, it is only right that Pakatan Harapan be given back the mandate to do government - that mandate was legally taken away from them by Perikatan Nasional. Legally right, but morally and ethically wrong. But PH in 2018 is not the same PH in 2022. I am not only talking about leadership and the component parties within PH, the PH that we now know is in disarray.
I was against PH signing an MOU with Ismail Sabri. It was an MOU to serve Ismail Sabri's interests more than PH interests. And now that we have seen Ismail Sabri crumble under the onslaught of his president, what good has the MOU done? No party hopping? Huh...we will see frogs jumping after PRU15! And after that happens, the powers that be, will look for and find, ways and means to justify the party hopping that those frogs do. PH has followed a policy of appeasement towards Ismail Sabri and did not go, as an opposition party should go, head to head with BN.
And now, we are seeing bloggers overtly declare their undisguised contempt for anyone not with PKR or PH. More often than not, these negative comments of the opposition come from within PKR. It is PKR telling others in the Opposition, if you are not with us, you are against us. At one time that included Syed Saddiq of MUDA - but not anymore as MUDA is now within the PH coalition.
Someone is orchestrating a groundswell movement to besmirch anyone not working with PKR, DSAI or with PH - even if that someone is within the opposition group against BN.
We have seen this kind of thing done by Umno. They pay bloggers, FB users, and anyone else they can gather, to campaign against anyone not with BN. Anyone not with BN is their enemy. And it would seem to me that for PKR and DSAI, whoever is not with them is their enemy - even if they are in opposition to BN.
This must stop.
We need to be together. If you are in Opposition to BN, try and work together towards the common goal of making sure that BN will not win government in PRU15. We must all work towards that goal. Anything else is unwarranted and will only serve BN purpose, not us who are in the Opposition. Do not forget that!
It is now 5.07 AM Melbourne time. I am going to shower, make myself a Short Black, and see if I will have that second wind that will allow me to write some more. Good morning all.
