Last week, in a virtual conversation (messaging on WhatsApp) with one sensible Datuk who lives in Bukit Tunku - in my time it was Kenny Hills - the topic of who should be PM after PRU15 came up. Datuk, in all seriousness, asked me, "Are we talking about lowering the bar or setting a standard for someone to become PM?"
Alamak, I expected Datuk to name names instead of asking me that. I told you this guy is a sensible Datuk kan?
Anyway, after taking a few moments to wipe the smile off my face and focus, I said, "Datuk, given the prevailing political conundrum, I guess lowering the bar would be a good place to begin!"
And I sense that Datuk was amused at where our virtual conversation was heading. For brevity, let me refer to this sensible Datuk as DS. And me as HH. Here is a snippet of our conversation :
DS : That depends...
HH : On what Datuk?
DS : Do you want to keep to the usual suspects or go for broke?
HH : I guess if we are talking about lowering the Bar - we better keep to the usual suspects.
DS : True.
HH : Shall we start with PAS?
DS : Good place to start, Pak.
(yep.. he calls me Pak).
HH : You cannot lower the bar lower than Hadi kan?
(I can just imagine Datuk having a chuckle to himself}
DS : The absent Middle East Envoy who wants to be Kingmaker......while seriously going for his Fourth (wife that is!).
Enough of eavesdropping on my conversation with DS. Let us get serious. All things considered, race, religion, and political affiliation, who will get your vote come polling day?
Will it be Umno/BN?
BN is going it alone, all the way to Putrajaya. But the BN car has got no brakes. Brakes or no brakes, they have to get to Putrajaya first because, as the driver, Wak Zahid said: “If we lost, our fate will be worst than PRU 14. Not only I will face prosecution..... Tok Mat.... you are in the waiting list. Tan Sri Vicky.....don’t laugh, you are also included! What more Datuk Seri Saravanan..... Ka Siong they won’t forget you.... you’ll be charge as well”.
So the driver, Wak Zahid, goes full speed to keep ahead of everybody, but how are those BN idiots going to stop once they get to Putrajaya?
They don't know and they don't care. Just drive fast and get to Putrajaya.
Sure terlajak...overshoot, exceed, or skidded way past Putrajaya.
They may even end up Down South where Mr. Sultan and his Pendek son, live. And those two are not going to be happy if Wak Zahid did not stop at Putrajaya!
Why?
Nudge nudge wink wink.....
They already tolong BN to win big in the last state election,
They already invested big in SHOES for the MB etc etc.
Their investment in the mega Forest City project needs major, major government assist etc etc...
Faham faham saja lah. So much invested with little or no returns.
Soon Mr. Sultan will become Mr. King. With Mr. Sultan Down South in Istana Negara as Mr. King, and if Wak Zahid is PM.... wooha.....much can be accomplished by both parties kan?
But first Mr. Sultan Down South must be Mr. King and Wak Zahid and BN must be in Putrajaya! So, Wak Zahid better get good brakes for his BN car and be able to stop once he gets to Putrajaya!
Anyway, let us get serious.
The popular conception is that to be PM of Malaysia, a connection to UMNO, is a good start. Then the PM candidate must have very low morals - greed and arrogance helps. They must be good at stealing money from the government with impunity, be able to finance a fat wife’s penchant for pink diamonds and Hermes Bags and have the ability to lie in court with silly stories (don't know how US$ 600 million suddenly turned up in their private bank accounts), and so on and so forth. All this would be a good start if you want to be PM of Malaysia.
Now you can also add being a convicted felon and having a BN car with good brakes to the list. ....lest you overshoot Putrajaya and end up Down South.
Ok guys, it's 6.22 AM and I have been writing since 5 AM. Time to take five. Have a nice day and may the force be with you. Be good. Do good and be nice to one another.
To be continued...soon.
Gd mng fellas☕️🍉😃
Power. The paradox of power. Its the same everywhere.
Politicians are all initially for good. Once they accumulate control, they lose all the consciousness of constraint. They become evil.
Zahid has this ability to rise from being prisoned to create for himself an easy opportunity to be the next Prime Minister of Malaysia.
That is quite a talent i dare say.😃
