My sentiments exactly. The sequence of events as you have called it would spell doom for the Unity govt. Once UMNO pulls out the Unity govt would be without a major Malay party, a critical ingredient , in my opinion, for a stable coalition failing which it would be Goodnight Vienna for the non Muslims as a theocracy will begin to take shape. All theocracies or near theocracies end up as failed or failing states.
