PERSPECTIVE: We do not need more concrete steel and glass structures in our capital!

ANON

Grateful that you highlighted the plight of the Kampong Setia Jaya people.

They are being evicted and where they have lived for generations cold concrete and glass blocks will come up to be known as an additional campus of TAR College.

Our country does need more well-run educational institutions like that college which produces good quality technocrats and IT specialists. The cost in this instance seems exorbitant. People are being displaced without any alternative place to move to.

This is exactly how those rubber-tapping families from the Perang Besar estate and other rubber plantation areas in its vicinity were thrown out to make way for Putrajaya. Once evicted these people lose their identity, dignity, their livelihood, their family ecosystems and their place in our society.

This is a serious crisis threatening our country because there is a dangerous collusive conspiracy between political leaders, corporate chieftains, bungling bureaucrats and some law enforcement agencies. We do not need more concrete steel and glass structures in our capital. We need a humanitarian administration with a heart where every Malaysian is valued, respected and properly compensated. It is a cruel thing to forcibly remove people from a place and not provide them with an alternative place to live in. Sad indeed.

This is same as Tambun farmers or durian farmers of

Pahang . Illegal occupation of land. Will the outcome be

based on race? Hope not ! Will the PDRM be firm in evicting

these people as they did with Pahang and Tambun farmers??

Let's hope so

Chosen people will be priority

I guess

MCA....so wealthy..

Fast becoming a Political.Nontity...

Living in past glory.

With current President ,clinging on to his Parliamentary seat with another Johor MP...

Now reduced to barking at trivialities..

Sometimes louder through wannabee leader Ti Lian Ker who has lost his way in Kuantan....

Yes, MCA is financially wealthy...

But the TAR expansion episode and their bullying of Kg Setia residents...not only show their dark side, but failure to use the proposed expansion in positive ways...winning hearts and minds of Chinese voters who deserted them in droves, plus those who are not in politics..

Its not too late for sensible minds, to make amends...

And avoid peatbog fire...
