During Mahathir's, Najib, Muhyiddin, and Ismail Sabri's time in Putrajaya, the use and abuse of public and political office for financial gains would put the Mafia and organized crime syndicates to shame. The use and abuse of GLCs, statutory bodies, and any other government-linked and funded authorities that had money to spend, by the very people tasked with managing them, was par for the course. Azeez at Tabung Haji, Isa at FGV, that Fake Tunku of Fedreal Terriory infamy, Irwan Setigar at Treasury, and the list goes on and on. Rm 4.5 Trillion of stolen public funds are stashed overseas! At long last, MACC has declared that Daim is a person of interest to them. And then who else after Daim ?

Anwar has undoubtedly embarked on a most challenging course of cleaning up the corruption and leakage mess within the government. He is also embarking on something even more challenging - digging up the rubble of entrenched corruption and conflict of interest over an extended period of four decades.

He needs all the professional help, the public support and the support of the top echelons of the private and public sectors to succeed.

Colluding and conniving citizens have enabled some highly placed individuals in high public office to accumulate billions illegally and immorally. The state cannot remain passive when it is clear that future generations have to bear the cost of these excesses. Our Brother Anwar has to be trusted and empowered to achieve the objectives he has set for his government. May the Almighty grant him strength and support.
