PERSPECTIVE : ANON

PERSPECTIVE: This is a section for "Guest Post". Guest write on any subject or issue they choose. And what they write is posted as received. Today's guest is ANON.

It is worrying as in 23 days it will be a year since he became PMX.

Bro, Your column on the failure or inaction to go after those who have looted key GLCs and statutory agencies is timely.

An elite class of multimillionaires has emerged with these ill gotten gains, graft and grand larceny. Proof of the looting may seem convincing to us but in a court of law that proof may not stand scrutiny. Marauders who profited are certainly there and one billionaire may have been buried in the nation's heroes mausoleum because of a failure to establish the truth about the source of his wealth. Was he a proxy?

We have entered a phase in our nation's history where the power of wealth can override and circumvent any law, logic or reason. Brother Anwar is appearing more like a scripted actor pushing more the Islamisation project of his political opponents than the improvements, integrity , inclusiveness or the integration projects he promised.

There is a sinking and sliding feeling in the country with inflation, identifiable pockets of poverty, massive traffic jams, a disgruntled Borneo region, a Putrajaya isolated and more involved in ceremonial and celebratory occasions than in addressing issues of economic revival, higher food production, revamping the education system and improving mutual trust and respect amongst Malaysians.

And now the just and highly principled peripheral Palestine issue has been brought into the centre stage with Bro Anwar in the awkward lead role.

He can't seem to shake off his old publicity stunt passions of his student activism. He refuses to grow up to become a mature, measured and magnanimous leader for all Malaysians.

It is worrying as in 23 days it will be a year since he became PMX.

To move on he has to reshuffle his cabinet, give up the finance portfolio and revamp the sagging confidence in his government. He has no choice or he will be remembered as the PMX who was aXed because he was excited with the wrong things. That would be a shame.

Reshuffling these lot is akin to rearranging decks chairs on Titanic

Very few of the cabinet are capable of doing their jobs properly

Needs people with brains who can can come up with good policies

and not race and religious crap

Madani man has no vision or strategy for the betterment of Malaysia

Stumbling from fiasco to fiasco

L,ooks like he will put the final nail in Malaysia's coffin

Very depressing

There are quite a number of substantive issues addressed in the recent Budget. The recent budget summary by Rafizi in Parliament covered identification of high growth high value industrial projects, a plan to introduce a progressive wage policy, an integrated data hub to form the basis for subsidy rationalisation through targeted subsidies, and other specific programs that make sense. The total condemnation of anything proposed or implemented by the government seems to be a trend, not only of the opposition bots but also erstwhile supporters. Perhaps listening to and understanding a hour long enunciation of policy and plans is more taxing than just making negative comments.
