No corruption in Petronas, EPU, PMO or Khazanah ? Huh! But... who is the most corrupt?

There are more good cops than there are bad cops in PDRM. More good enforcement officers in DBKL and in the other Dewan Bandaraya, than there are rogue enforcement officers. Out of the 480,740 full-time civil servants, I am certain that there are less than 1% who are really corrupt. JPJ, at the time, while I was still in KL, was a den of corruption full of cari makan operators - from the numerous "agents" you can see outside the JPJ office in Jalan Genting Kelang offering all sorts of "services," to the JPJ rank and file inside - all scavengers and rip off artists waiting to fleece you for every single cent they can get.

Do you think there is no corruption in Petronas? No corruption in EPU? No corruption in Khazanah, MOF, or even the PMO? Huh, there is corruption everywhere if you know how to look...but the problem really became a problem when those who want to cari makan began looking for you to give them the makan rather than you looking for them!

Those of us who were doing business with the government understood very well that phrase "Cash is King!".....and there was no bigger player in this despicable game than the POLITICIANS! This kind of plague and pestilence starts from the very top. The fish rots from the head. And you cannot get any more 'top' than Kepit Man.

He became Prime Minister in April 2009 and began his "Cash is King" reign not too soon afterward, helped copiously by his FLOM.

Eleven years later, he had his first conviction, and two years later, this man of immense wealth and once, a man of great power, was sent to jail. His FLOM too had been convicted of bribery and awaits incarceration, bar her appeal against that conviction.

The list of convicted politicians and those awaiting trial for various offenses is many and what their crimes have cost our nation, financially, runs into the billions. What it has cost the nation and Malaysians in terms of lost opportunities and our nation's place among others in this region, if not the world, is simply unfathomable. Imagine...Malaysia is today one of the most corrupt nations in the world!

So the question arises....are there more bad politicians than good politicians?

Let me rephrase that question...name one good politician today! Go on, I dare you! I double dare you! Name one good past, present, or future politician! And I say "future" politician because if you have someone in the family who is aspiring to be a politician...ask yourself if he or she, will make a good politician? And I am certain that any father or mother who is confronted with a member of their family wanting to be a politician, would be horrified and do their best to persuade them to be anything else, but a politician! Kan?

But there is a caveat to all that I have said so far.

All this was BPH....BEFORE PAKATAN HARAPAN.

For a while after PRU14, we had hopes that politics was no longer a zero-sum game - i.e. if you do not win, you lose everything!

PH started government after PRU14 with high hopes of good governance and the belief that politicians, no matter where they were coming from, can be united in purpose for Malaysia and Malaysians. No can do lah. Two years down the line, everything fell apart for reasons that are as clear as daylight - greed for cash and greed for political power.

Now in 2022, Pakatan Harapan has been given another opportunity to try the same thing again - pull together a group of good, decent politicians from anywhere good, decent politicians can be found, include them in government, and with DSAI as prime minister, do government....with one significant difference from the government that Umno and PN have been doing while PH was not in power - and what is that difference?

This PH government has not yet had the opportunity to be corrupt!

Ok lah maybe that claim that "nobody in the PH government today is corrupt" may not hold water because Zahid Hamidi is facing court time for various offenses, and some of those already in Cabinet may be the subject of court proceedings in the near future, but in general, it would be fair to say that this PH government has not yet had the opportunity to be corrupt!

Can we hope that they will not succumb to the temptations corruption promises them? Dare we hope that for them, cash will never be king? And more critically, will this PH government under DSAI begin the process of change that DSAI has committed itself to make happen?

Zero tolerance for corruption. No "ifs" and no "buts"..... ZERO TOLERANCE!

It is too early to tell what this PH government will or will not be, .but the head of this PH government, DSAI, is not rotten! Remember that "the fish rots from the head" phase? I think it is not going to happen with this PH government. We will do all we can to keep those bastards in parliament, honest...maaf, for the use of that word "bastards"...but you must agree that for many decades, there were plenty of them in parliament! Kan?

Anyway...right now, as a blogger...I am having difficulty finding fault with PMX and finding Ministers to hantam because of anything they say or do in and outside parliament. There are question to be asked about some of DSAI cabinet appointments, but to form an inclusive government, there has to be some give and take on all sides. Only time will tell if the giving and the taking is a win-win for Malaysian and Malaysia.

And maybe, just maybe....soon the number of good politicians will be greater than the number of bad politicians! I am hopeful that is the path that DSAI has chosen to take for his PH government. We can only wish him well.

It is not about them being sure UN will think otherwise. They know they will lose. They also know the judicial review will find bossku's complain frivolous. It will be thrown out. The whole theatrics is to show to the public bossku has tried all avenues and hence deserve a recommendation by the pardon board to the King to fully pardon Bossku on all charges.

I m not saying bossku did not commit the crime but i m certain he is a victim of political persecution by tun m.

How and why is that so ? One word : Mukhriz.

Tun m made najib the prime minister and expected najib to return his kindness by helping mukhriz win the vp of umno post in october 2013 party election. He wanted mukhriz to be president of umno in 2018 and najib to hand over the pm post to mukhriz thereafter. Earlier, kj was also challenging mukhriz to lawan for the ketua pemuda post. That single act got tun m to bring down pak lah as tun figured out mukhriz will face paklah's son in law to…

Time will tell whether PH will be a corrupt govt. New broom always sweeps well in the beginning. For any govt to be free of corruption, they must not only be free of corruption BUT also to have the PERCEPTION that they are not corrupted………..Govt must not only be clean, BUT must be seen to be clean too Why would any public listed company appoint Farshah, Anwar’s key ally to be Chairman of 2 Main Biard of public listed company within less than 2 mths of anwar being appointed as PM?????? What experience does he have in the corporate world to be made not a Director BUT Chairman? Either he is the luckiest fella or there are expectations that being Anwar’s very close ally he…

Maybe it is not fair to judge farhash. He was harvard trained and won entrepreneur of the year award even before politics.

Othman omar is also chairman of vincent's janna farm and berjaya land. He too was dg of felda and ceo of pkns under ph govt.

Theres 16,000 acres of land in bukit tinggi that vincent is looking to develop and looking for jv partner. The farm is in langkawi. Maybe farhash or othman can help. Executive decision however is solely Vincents.
