My teacher told me, @ age 15 that my generation would see the destruction and downfall of Malaysia.

ANON

It was during Mahathir's time that he tried and wanted to abolish the sultanate and monarchy. His explanation was it's expensive to upkeep them and many of our Sultans abused their positions.

It was also during Mahathir's and Anwar's time that our education was compromised because according to TM we need a national language, secondly because many Malays aren't good in Science and Mathematics, the passing marks were reduced, and then the quota system. All these added up.

But behind it, I believe it's the control Tun Mahathir engineered to have control over the population. Anwar played his part in radicalising and thus began the sekolah pondok , tahfiz schools, and later the segregation of our races.

Like I mentioned before, my form teacher told me, @ age 15 that my generation would see the destruction and downfall of Malaysia 40-50 years down to road.

Now we see the prediction came true.

Now Anwar is PM. I doubt if he dares to take that drastic action/steps to reverse it. We are going down the slippery slope and nothing is going to stop that. We truly don't have anyone of calibre or leadership qualities to take action for the good of our country.

I am now in China Guangzhou. I will be traveling to Shenzhen, Tzu Hai and I am amazed at the speed of development in China. The Chinese are so organised and they learn at such speed. Something we lack in our Malaysian culture. Their leaders have common goals. They build a nation for the common good. Those corrupt are removed and there's no such thing as taking years to court.

The Chinese are diligent and very hardworking. I truly wish I could instil these mindsets and values that the Chinese have in our people.

China is controlled by the CCP and once decided it is GO no resistance. They also practised meritocracy and very competitive top universities entry qualifications similar to those of India's top engineering colleges.

They copy without shame and do reverse engineering During the early 70s any NMC that want to do business in South Korea and China have to submit applications and detailed manufacturing details before they approve projects . MNCs wanting to exploit the enormous markets there will furnished it thinking they have patent protections. Their scientists will then find different routes to manufacture similar products which will not infringe the patent and offer competition in the local and later overseas markets.

And to top it all corruption is…

Just a thought, probably all MPs and ADUNs should take a Know China Today trip and then give statements on what they learn from the trip. After that the racial rhetoric of telling people to balik China, syiok sendiri Ketuanan and Ummah, etc would stop l think. Then maybe the politicians would start building the nation towards a developed society for real.

Replying to

Dream on. It's not that they don't know. Our leaders made many trips to various countries. We don't see any changes except more Taliban. Do you see them bringing back a Dubia or Japan? Our leaders and the elite will never give up their privileges. It's easy money. They are in power to keep all. They care less about the future. They know they will not live to see the destruction. We need a dictator like LKY and his team. The author's teacher prophesy is in the making. It's time to encourage our children to seek greener pastures.

ANON IS RIGHT. Attached link titled " Low quality Malaysian education MORE ALARMING than household debt, says World Bank economist" in 2014 which is still VERY RELEVANT till today 9 years after.

In fact, according to this article, Malaysian Students have lost by a LARGE MARGIN to Rural Vietnamese Students who ranked 17 out of 65, but Malaysian ranked 52 out of 62 in 2012 PISA's Score.

Critics have questioned whether this Low Education Standard is CAPABLE OF PROPELLING MALAYSIA FORWARD TECHNOLOGICALLY AND ECONOMICALLY COMPETING AGAINST OUR NEIGHBORS LET ALONE GLOBALLY, with the Govt's TOO MUCH FOCUS ON ISLAMIZATION.

With so many Bumis enrolled in Religious Schools studying ONLY Religion, MAKING THEM UNABLE to contribute TECHNOLOGICALLY AND ECONOMICALLY. WORLD BANK…
