Let Not PRU15 be another PRU14.

Updated: Feb 14, 2022

Selamat Pagi Malaysia.

What does it takes to win a General Election in Malaysia? The first thing that any decent, rational and sensible Malaysian will say is M O N E Y. You and I know that the "Cash Is King mentality" takes precedence over anything and for everything in Malaysia kan?. Kena tangkap because you ran the red lights? To kauntim you need M O N E Y. You want to secure a project, a tender or some lucrative business opportunities from the government? Again you need M O N E Y. You want a voter to vote for you in the elections? M O N E Y. You want to be an ADUN or a Yang Berhormat? You better have M O N E Y.

Abba got it right with their song : Money Money Money.

Money, money, money Must be funny In the rich man's world Money, money, money Always sunny In the rich man's world Aha All the things I could do If I had a little money It's a rich man's world It's a rich man's world

Really? But what did PRU14 taught us?

It was not money that won PRU14 for the rakyat. It was not money that took Pakatan Harapan past the finish line on that fateful day in May 2018. It was not money that defeated Barisan Nasional for the first time since 1955. It was the rakyat that installed a Kerajaan in Putrajaya - a Kerajaan the rakyat thought would be by the rakyat, of the rakyat and for the rakyat. Almost four years after that fateful day in May 2018 we now find ourselves staring into the abyss.

While you might not need M O N E Y to win a general election in Malaysia, there are other things you need to keep the government that you have elected to office, in office! Two words. We need good people. Good in politics. Good in being decent. Good in being responsible, accountable and good in good governance. And to our utter disbelief and disappointment, there not too many good people in Pakatan Harapan. Who these not too good people are, will be for history to tell us, but if truth is to be said, the ones that elected these not too good people to political high office, was us - the rakyat. So in truth it is us the rakyat that has to take responsibility for the choices we made in May 2018.

All that is now history.

Another general election will be upon us dalam masa terdekat. All the lessons that we learned in the last general election when we voted for many not too good people, should not be lost upon us all. And most critical of all we must not forget, rightly or wrongly, Pakatan Harapan was our choice. Now who will we choose in the next general election ?

It is too early in the morning, 6.35 am Melbourne time, for me to talk much more on this subject. I just want to leave that thought in your head....we, you and me......we the rakyat.....we the electorates .....we the people of Malaysia will decide who will do government after PRU15.

Now please, hold that thought in your head. Please start today with that one critical thought : That the people of Malaysia will decide who shall do government in Putrajaya after PRU15. Not Barisan Nasional. Not Pakatan Harapan and certainly not Pas Piss Pus.

The coming days are going to be difficult. Malacca is a done deal. Johore is just waiting to be another Malacca....and so far, we the rakyats have not yet been invited to the party. For sure there are a few among us that have turned up at the PRN Malacca to tests the waters to see if anything has changed since PRU14. And I am sure a few more will be there for the Johore PRN, but in truth, these people do not count for much. It is PRU15 that matters - and if my sources are to believed....PRU15 will be upon us dalam masa yang amat terdekat. So please guys...ask yourself again : What does it takes to win a General Election in Malaysia?

One word : R A K Y A T.

Enough said.

A rather lengthy comment from me. This article was repeating an element that has changed our way of life to be a corrupted society – Money. It emphasised the lack of good people in PH that led to where we are now. People like Arsemean, Zoorider and their followers from the coalition. And even the holiest of people among the crooks found it irresistible to reject the money offered to them. However, it did not tell us the other side of the coin: the giver who tempted the receiver. As rightly pointed out, it is we, the voters, who decide who will govern us after GE15. Where we are now is not because we did not elect the right people at GE14.…
