Leaders come and go. A matter of when not if. Enough said!

Australia: Premier Barry O'Farrell has resigned after a corruption inquiry obtained a handwritten note that contradicted his claims he did not receive a $3000 bottle of wine from the head of a company linked to the Obeid family.

United Kingdom: Liz Truss is set to become the shortest-serving Prime Minister to date. “We set out a vision for a low-tax, high-growth economy that would take advantage of the freedoms of Brexit,” Truss said in a brief statement outside Downing Street on Thursday, just 44 days after delivering her first. “I recognize though, given the situation, I cannot deliver the mandate on which I was elected by the Conservative Party. I have therefore spoken to His Majesty the King to notify him that I am resigning as leader of the Conservative Party.”

USA: With his complicity in the cover-up made public, and his political support completely eroded, Nixon resigned from office on August 9, 1974. It is generally believed that, if he had not done so, he would have been impeached by the House and removed from office by a trial in the Senate.

Indonesia: Indonesia's beleaguered President Suharto stepped down this morning from the post he has held for 32 years, defeated by mounting popular unrest and a collapsed economy he was unable to revive.

In Malaysia, the prime minister resigns because he has lost the majority support from the very people who had put him into government. Politicians kill off each other for their own vested interests.

Let us see what our PMX will do to ensure that there are checks and balances in place to ensure that this vicious downward spiral of politicians colluding with each other to advance their own vested interest for political and financial gains, at the expense of Malaysia and Malaysian, will stop forthwith.

I have no doubt that if there is any prime minister with the courage to do this, it will be DSAI, but remember this: we are asking DSAI to do the very thing that will take away his ability to ensure his hold on power lies with him, and surrender that power to others who will decide his political fate. Surely that is a big ask of any politician!

There are not many politicians of the likes of Jacinta Arden who this week announced that she will resign as Prime Minister of New Zealand by 7th February because she "Don't have enough in her tank:" Let us see if DSAI is made of the same stuff as Jacinta!
