KITA BOLEH!

Selamat Pagi Malaysia...

If any of you doubt the impossible...then listen to Barack Obama's "Yes We Can" speech before he became POTUS. This is what happens when people believe in what they want to do. This time in Malaysia, it will be different. We did not just vote for Pakatan Harapan, we did not just vote for this Unity Government, not even just for DSAI to be PM. We voted for change. No corruption, no Race, and no religion in Politics. One Malaysia. And we all share these goals. And we must give thanks to the Almighty that we are blessed with a King who understands our aspirations and made it his responsibility and duty to have DSAI lead a Unity Government

We have already succeeded beyond our hopes and our dreams! Najib Razak is in jail. Rosmah Mansor is guilty. Corruption is a dirty word, and corrupt politicians no longer strut the corridors of power with impunity. We now dare to believe that the separation of powers between the legislative, executive, and judicial is possible - each with separate, independent powers and responsibilities, so that the powers of one branch are not in conflict with those of the other branches.

And we have DSAI as PMX.

Yes, we also have the Green Wave. We have PAS, Mahiaddin, and Hadi in Opposition. They offer an alternative to the Unity Government. They are a strong, but not yet credible, ethical, and fair opposition, but, we are a democracy, and we need a strong opposition to keep the government honest.

The Unity Government today is held accountable by the rakyat for whatever they do in government, and nowhere is this more obvious than the strident and loud protest by many Malaysians of the DNAA by the AG on the Zahid Hamidi's case. Even as the rakyat made their opposition to Zahid's DNAA known to PMX, they also, at the same time, showed their support for this Unity Government by giving their votes to the UG candidate in the recently concluded by-election in Johor!

This is how a vibrant and healthy democratic process works. Protest and support, agree to disagree and free elections to decide who should do government. Let us not lose sight of these precious democratic nuances because it has taken us over seven long decades to get to where we are now.

By all means, tell PMX what he can and cannot do! Tell his minister if you think they are underachievers. Questions the decisions they make in the name of government. Do all this and more - but do so ethically, with decency and grace. Whatever your hopes, and aspirations, do not ever forget that refrain from Obama many many years ago before he became POTUS...YES WE CAN!

Agree, while things may not be ideal, we have made some progress to get to where we are with better hopes for the future. But PMX needs to be careful on not taking the supporters for granted and gives way for the 3rd force to rise. The supporters would always vote for the less evil and PMX must ensure that he is the least evil in a 3 corner fight.
