The Malaysian government has too many VIP jets for use by ...VIPs of course! And wives of prime ministers are VIPs too, kan? So says Rosmah, but the jury is still out deliberating on that because she is a VIP when she is with the prime minister who is her husband who is the VIP....but Rosmah, on her own, going anywhere, should pay for her own transport costs. Kan?
Anyway, I am told that the Government (not this Madani government) has sold one of those VIP Jet used to transport VIPs ka sana, dan ka sini. This is something that should be applauded because it means that less money will be needed to maintain one less VIP Jet.
How are these planes sold? Open tender or negotiated tender? On a consignment basis or are they sold on a first-come, first-served basis? What is the standard operating procedure for selling a surplus government VIP jet?
I am asking because the sale of one of these VIP jets has made the buyer a hefty profit when the aircraft was onsell to another party! Many million of ringgits in profit by just flipping the aircraft to another buyer.
Question: Did our government (not the Madani government) sell the VIP aircraft too cheaply....because they were not aware of the market price, or was the aircraft sold way below market price so that someone in government could make some "commission" from the sale? The commission should rightly go to the government coffers, not into the pocket of the person doing the selling on behalf of the government. Saya tanya aja!
Cannot question Bumiputras privileges
Normally gomen owned assets are auctioned and sold to highest bidder no?
Our roads are full of vip's. Its one motorcade after another. One motircade itself consist of several body guard cars, several motorbikes, in some cases, a ambulance, plus cops manning every traffic lights it passes through to ensure a smooth effortless journey. Just for one vip.
