Jokowi and Putin on the same stage? Jokowi on the world stage negotiating with Russia and Ukraine - and being listened to? Indonesia making a difference to the world we live in? You may shake your head in wonder at the audacity of Jokowi doing all this, and yet the moving images of him and Putin standing next to each other and talking to the world about what has been agreed between the two of them....an agreement that common sense brokered : to allow food and other essential items to be shipped to people who need them most....you do wonder what must have driven Jokowi to think that he can make it happen.
I belive that it is Jokowi's belief in himself and in his ability to do this and more. And all this he does with the grace of a Mandela and that quiet respect he has for others. He is respectful of others but he means business. Glory not for himself but for his country - he conducts himself befitting of one who is leader of 274 million Indonesians.
So there is no doubt that Indonesia, through Jokowi, is now a world power in its ability to move world leaders to do things that must be done to make this world of ours a decent place.
Wither goes Ismail Sabri? Yesterday he was in Pasir Salak. Enough said.
