Insyallah, insyallah, insyallah...it is God's will.

Updated: Sep 27, 2023

Selamat Pagi Malaysia...

This unhealthy preoccupation with the hereafter...life after death...among the Malays, must cease. There is a life to be lived here and now. At the very least, surely the Malays owe themselves a responsibility to ensure that they are ready for both eventualities, for surely the hereafter and life here and now, must both be faced by every one of us. But to neglect the here and now just so that you are prepared for the life that is to come after, is irresponsible. Before you call me an infidel, do hear me out.

Insyallah...if God wills...precedes almost every act of the Malays...and why not? Allah is the giver of life and the creator of death, the all-knowing and all-mighty. It is only right that we think of ALLAH in everything that we do...and so we say Insyallah as we live life. When life is good we give thanks to ALLAH. When the harvest is bountiful, we give thanks to ALLAH. Every task, every deed, and every thought we have, we are grateful to ALLAH for surely HE is the source of all things great or small, good or bad, right or wrong.

What should concern the Malays is their fatalistic acceptance of all things that are not right with them. The Malays are corrupt. The tap water in Kelantan is not fit for human consumption. The Malays are now, at best, a distant second to the others who also call Malaysia home. The Malays are lazy. The Malays mudah lupa. Why are they so?

Dare I say it? Dare I blame the Malays for being too preoccupied with the afterlife than with the life they have to live now? Or are the Malays the way they are because, with everything going wrong in their life, they have someone to blame? Not only do they blame DAP but also that list of who is to be blame...include corrupt politicians, irresponsible Malay leaders, the Chinese and DAP...anything and anybody else but themselves!

The Chinese and the DAP (they are not one and the same thing) and others are blamed by the Malays for their lot today, but surely, the greatest sin for the Malays is to lay the blame for their ills and misfortunes on...on ...ALLAH. Yes I say the Malays"blame" ALLAH for everything that has gone wrong in their life for, is not ALLAH will overpowering...and for the lot that they are now in, the Malays say Insyallah...it is Gods will.

Allah has put you on this Earth to live life the best way you can. Thank ALLAH for the bountiful harvest. Thank ALLAH for the good that is in your life. Thank ALLAH for the strength and the will ALLAH has given you to live that life well....but do not "blame" ALLAH for the situation that the Malays are in because you say that is "Gods will".

That is the easy way out. It is not God's will that the water in Kelantan is not fit for human consumption. It is not God's will that there are not enough chicken and eggs. It is not God's will that PAS has a leader like Hadi Awang and Sanussi. It is not God's will that DAP, not UMNO or PKR, has more seats in Parliament. And it surely cannot be God's will that you spend too much of your time being preoccupied with the hereafter than with living your life now.

The Malays have to take the blame for what has gone wrong with their life. Not ALLAH. The Malays have to take responsibility for allowing leaders like Mahathir, Hadi and Muhyiddin to use the politics of race and religion to dumb down the Malays, not ALLAH. All this and more, the Malays must now do if they are not to be left standing by the pier as the ship of state, our state, sails off into the real world because the Malays are too preoccupied with preparing themselves for the hereafter.

Take the billion ringgit budget for Jakim and go spend it on education for the Malay young - it will do more good. Get all the Ulamaks, the Ustaz all the many thousand religious leaders, religious schools, and Islamic NGOs to go and teach the Malays about living the life here and now first and get the Malays to not spend too much time preparing themselves for the hereafter - that too will be better for the Malays. Do so in moderation. Do not forget that the Malays will have to die first to go to the hereafter. Meantime, their life here and now leaves much to be desired.

Enough said.

It is too hard to shed off religious indoctrination. Kids were told to believe everything their religious teachers said before developing the ability to think critically.

Humans are worshipping beings. They worship anything that gives them benefit or solace. Before the current "established" religions. Humans worship the sun, sea, sky, rain, the mountains, etc, etc. Now, apart from the "established" religions we worship Tayol Swift, money and anything we love. Fan worship their idols. Men worship women. Housewives worship Korean Opal. Well, the list can go on and on.

Western historians will vouch that early arabs out of arabia after mohamed did not have a religion. Nor did they build mosques in Jerusalem after it was taken over. Romans surrendered in peace and were allowed to leave unscathed. The arab called themselves as believers. Not muslims.

The first so called mosque built at the site of the dome of the rock was built 50 years later. It remains the oldest surviving islamic structure. And the arabs started collecting vast knowledge accummulated from captured greek, romans and Persians territories, and later from india and china via trade.

And mecca had no historical significance.

The major capital of islamic Caliphate, which the faith evolved into, were more concentrated in Damascus, Baghdad,…
