In the face of impossible odds, people who love this country, can change it!

When push comes to shove, when it is time for us to stand up and be counted....when it is time to come forward and make a stand...shoulder our responsibilities...do the right thing...are there enough Tun Ismail Rahman, Tun Ismail Ali, Tun Hanif Omar, Tan Sri Hamid Bador, Professor Unku Aziz, and their likes out there, who can make a difference in the fight of good over evil that we are all now involved in the Malaysia of today? In this Malaysia under a Pakatan Harapan government under DSAI?

Can we win the fight against corruption? Against the abuse and misuse of public office? Against those obnoxious human failures of greed, avarice, arrogance, of vested interests against the greater good of one's own kind?

Surely our community, society, and nation are sorely in need of such Malaysians, are we not? And thank God, there are already indications that a change is coming!

Think of what just happened with the Imraz Ikhbal "DBKL ON THE TAKE" ....about those hawkers selling mandarins who had to give money to DBKL enforcement officers who are on the take.

How was the matter resolved? Within hours...not days...but within hours. DSAI instructs Datuk Badar to do the necessary. Datuk Bandar meets with Imraz Ikhbal to be briefed on the situation. Datuk Bandar takes action. Matter resolved.

Then there is the case of the missing Pakistani Journalist. Syed Fawad Ali Shah. A lawyer representing his wife said Fawad had been nabbed and probably deported, while a foreign ministry source said this was not so.

Within days, the Home Minister himself cleared the air...Syed Fawad was deported at the behest of the Pakistani government in August last year. Why Syed Fawad has not been in touch with his wife to tell her that he is back in Pakistan would be an interesting tale to know, but I am not bothered about those sordid details of relationships between husband and wife. I just want to know what happened to Syed Fawad. Now we know.

How the problem of those Mandarin Hawkers and this Pakistani Journalist who is already back in Pakistani while his wife is still in KL....... how these two 'situations' had been handled, speaks volumes of how things have changed in this Malaysia under a PH government with DSAI at the helm. What needs to be done is done without fear or favor.

There is also the matter of that RM$60 million that Syed Mokhtar Al-Bukhary "generously" 'donated' towards the welfare of the rice farmers at the "suggestion" of DSAI.....all done with a minimum of fuss for the greatest of good! Terbaik DSAI!

What else is to come in the coming days?

Are we going to see more of the same? Will there be a shakedown in PDRM that will see every corrupt cop on the take exposed? And when I say everyone, I mean not only the Cops on the streets but also the Cops in Bukit Aman, in Logistics, and anywhere else in PDRM, who because of greed and corruption, has made PDRM an embarrassment to all other good, decent and honest Cops of which there are many in PDRM today?

Will there be another Latifah Koyah in SPRM? Or if there is not another Latifah Koyah around to take the place of that questionable Azam Baki, are there enough good, honest, and decent SPRM officers who would be prepared to stand up and be counted and exposed the wrongdoings of what is really happening in the SPRM under this "questionable" Azam Baki?

That is really what is needed kan? Everyone...from our PMX, Ministers, the KSU, the IGP, the Chief Commisioner in SPRM....everyone including those working in these enforcement agencies, every one of them must be prepared to stand up and be counted... every one of them must do the right thing...everyone must take responsibility to ensure that good will triumph over evil.

And that also includes you and me.

I already have with me, much that I can tell this PH government about the "questionable" goings-on in government and the Enforcement Agencies of today, and you guys can be assured that sooner, rather than later, I will tell what I know to the powers that be.

I can do this...or should I say, I dare to do this now because I know that what I tell the powers that be in Malaysian today, will be dealt with in a manner that will ensure that truth will be out, that good will triumph over evil and, most critical to me and others like me, they will listen to what we have to say and not shoot the messenger.

For now, wait. All this is a work in progress. All I can say to those who are abusing their public office for personal gain...be afraid. Be very afraid.

It is now 5.30 am on a Wednesday morning. I have been up since 2.30 am - woken from sleep by messages from well-meaning friends from KL who tell me, so they insist, that I must write about what I have just written above. And in asking me to write, they also send me copious amounts of data and privileged information about the things that I must write about.

So I doubt if I will be able to get any sleep....too many interesting things to read, too many sordid tales of corruption and abuse of public office for personal gain to peruse. The change we want is happening.

Enough for now. I need to finish this article and have it posted on my blog before Suboh. Amen.

Malaysia beat Spore 4-1 last night. After a long time the Malaysian team looks multi racial like the Mokh-Chin Aun Days. Ironically Spore seems to be an all Malay team. Multi racialism is the answer whether in soccer or governance.

An old friend won only 9 seats in a 59 seat state in ge 15 and against impossible odds, still manage to become chief minister of the state today.

Of course he is embarrassed but despite rejected by the people, he manage to secure 1 mb seat,1 speaker and 3 exco post out of the 9 seats for his boys. Shrewd fela.

The same with bn who from winning 148 federal seats in 1999, are rejected by the people today and won only 30 out of 222 seats.

Despite this humiliation, they manage to get a key dpm and five other cabinet post. Of course this post will help secure its president's nxt 5 yr term and keep him out…
