A perfect storm is looming over this PH government. The first 30 days into 2023 have seen a combination of events and issues that have resulted in, politically speaking, a chaotic start to 2023 with the promise of more to come.
Managing the lingering strands of Covid that still threatens our health and the recovery of our economy is still a shaky work in progress when we have a Minister who seems more concerned over the sale of electronic cigarettes and vape products that look like toys. Focus minister...focus!
The minister of communication has 17 agencies under his purview and is responsible for digitalization, communications, multimedia, radio broadcasting, digital terrestrial television broadcasting, other media broadcasts, information, personal data protection, special affairs, media industry, film industry, domain name, postal, courier, mobile service, fixed service, broadband, digital signature, universal service, international broadcasting, and content! And how is minister Fahmi Fadzil doing? Nose to the grindstone, he has hit the ground running! He wants Malaysia to be the New Asian Digital Tiger - and if anyone can do it, Fahmi can.... but YB, if you need help, ask! You cannot do everything yourself!
The Economic minister is suspect. Overrated even? Is he meeting with the restauraneurs to win brownie points? Or, is Rafizi doing his homework first before he makes his moves as Economic minister? Time will tell.
And what advice is Hassan Marican giving to the Finance Ministry? Pray tell! We need his steady and sure hand to guide the Finance Minister through current challenges, and it would comfort us to hear from Hassan Marican, his thoughts and intent sooner rather than later. Let him speak.
In short, the Cabinet is off and running, but where are they running to?
The MOE is having PR problems in Johor trying to untangle a delicate racial educational gaffe by the state MOE. And they are doing it by being economical with the truth. Cannot lah. The internet tells all. Just say "Sorry, we made a stupid mistake. It will not happen again" ...and make sure it will NOT happen again. Case solved.
Tales about the corruption in Jakim is on the Net. Jakim threatens to sue me for extreme defamation but Hakimah the KP and Dr. Naim, the Minister are quiet. Why? The corruption will not go away if you are quiet. Do something. Anything!
I can tell you more, but the Green Wave is that part of the perfect storm which is a real and present danger to PMX, and the survival of his government. This two-headed dragon must be slayed now rather than later! Kenapa nak tunggu lagi DSAI? Carpe diem! Arrest them!
And within the ranks of government, it looks like civil servants are confused. PDRM, MACC, and other enforcement agencies seem to not understand that they are there to support the government! When will PMX read the riot act to them?
PH must get on with the business of government. Enough of self-effacing PR, enough of making announcements that are heavy on the 'sugary' part, but not much on the 'doing' part. The state elections are looming and the rakyat will soon be casting their druthers. A perfect storm is about to break upon this PH government. We want PMX to weather whatever will come his way. We want him to succeed.
And this comment from Yusof, says it all....
Enough said!
Unfortunately, this is unity gomen, not PH and thus does not Command full say and worst still may subject to undrtlying subversions!
Ph fellas can do their jobs.
They just need to know what is pmx objectives, goals, strategies and action plans for malaysia.
Once they know, their respective kementrians will align itself to these. Thereafter, policies and programs can be planned, budgeted and implemented by each kementrians properly.
Ph will then govern malaysia with a solid unified effort with a common purpose of far exceeding expectations of all targets. Be it about digital economy transformation, moral principles of human and animal rights, or carbon trading to ease climate change et al.
At the moment, anwar is more into selling his masyarakat madani concept, aka development of innerbeing, rohani rather than jasmani. He is talking about knowledge, adab and other virtues rather…
