Horror headlines of recent times & the reality under DSAI's Madani government.

How quickly we forget the horror headlines under Najib, Muhyiddin, and Ismail Sabri! A wife having an office in the Prime Minister's Office? Azeez, the thief and scammer extraordinaire appointed chairman of Tabung Haji with billions in its kitty. Isa Samad as Chairman of Felda - sent there to wreck asunder what Najib's father put together? Muhyiddin declared a COVID emergency and suspended Parliament. Our King pressed Muhyiddin to reopen parliament and Muhyiddin, his prime minister, ignored Tuanku's plea. Ismail Sabri wearing a RM5,599 designer shirt....and Hadi as the Middle East Envoy who could not even travel to the Middle East because he was designated a terrorist but has Ministerial Status, ministerial cars, and privileges and of course, a Minister's salary and perks....and the horror headlines continues through the tenure of these inept and self-serving prime ministers.

And what are we quibbling about today under PMX and his Madani Unity government?

Yes, there are still issues of good governance under this Madani Unity Government. We want things done effectively and with less delay. We want things done yesterday not next week. Questions are still being asked about the independence of the Judiciary, MACC, and PDRM. We ask why the Civil Service is still being prioritized over the needs of other less unfortunate Malaysians. Why are ministers not performing better and even PMX has not escaped our scrutiny.

BUT...and here is the big BUT....you cannot deny that they are trying!

After decades of corruption, inept ministers, and self-serving prime minister we now have a government under PMX that is, at the very least, trying their level best to do the right thing by us. Not always successful...but the fundamentals for good government have already been laid....shakily maybe, but they are there. They need time to do better. It is a steep learning process for most of them. Give them space. Give them the benefit of the doubt. Support them in their endeavors. Have faith in their intent.

Compared to the horrors of the past, this Madani government is a breath of fresh air. By all means let us keep watch and let us keep them honest while they are doing government - but do step back and leave them to do the work of making our nation great again. MAJU MALAYSIA.... and maybe...just maybe...it is time we bring back that stirring song of old that made us all proud to be Malaysians. MALAYSIA BERJAYA.
