HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Good morning🌺🌞🌺

We are blessed to live to see the end of another year. 2022 would have been a particularly trying year for those of us who lost our dear ones.

Former prime ministers of our country experienced their most agonizing, grueling, and disastrous year.

One is regrettably quite ill. The others got what they deserved.

The most notorious one got packed off to prison, one nonagenarian got rejected in his bid for a parliamentary seat, one got bumped off without ceremony in the race for prime ministership while the last one, the one who had to call the 15th general election got himself involuntarily vetoed for the job. They appear to be sulking in the shadows, and at least one has earned rebukes for saying all the wrong things. These former prime ministers who did not hide their ambition for unfettered power were ungracious and unwilling to accept the reality of a new prime minister.

The unfairly vilified but plainly desired Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim (DSAI) is now ensconced as the prime minister against the heaviest of odds. Malaysia, it would seem, has moved on.

DSAI should have been handed this position long ago. A web of lies and half-truths was systematically spun around him, and this position eluded him till November 24, 2022.

In retrospect, in May 2018 the relief at getting rid of Najib unexpectedly so overwhelmed us that we had overlooked the deceit and discrepancies in the character of Dr. Mahathir Mohamad. He blew that 2018 opportunity. It is now becoming increasingly clear that Dr M's personal obsession with DSAI has always been much greater than his love for Malaysia. The mainstream media in Malaysia maintained a narrative that was detrimental to DSAI’s reputation, that a whole generation was indoctrinated into looking askance at him. The aspersions cast on his character were part of the strategy to prevent and forestall any prospect of his ascendancy.

In the past year, he defied all odds and became the prime minister in spite of all the powerful forces that were arrayed against him. It is an incredible and inspiring story.

DSAI has acquitted himself reasonably well so far. With his own efforts, due care, and dedication to this highest elective office he should enhance further his stature. He enters 2023 as the country’s most celebrated personality, and we wish him good health, peace, happiness, and success. He has a duty to bequeath to us an inspiring and valuable lesson that the country's highest elective office is a huge and sacred responsibility. It is a trusteeship of immense and utmost importance.

Let us trust and pray that 2023 will be a beneficial and better year for ourselves, our families, and our nation.

HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Yes! Agree.the problem with power is ai wanted to do good instead of evil. Likely that was why it was difficult for him to be pm then. He has always been extraordinary influential but yet when it comes to grabbing power and be pm, he preferred the conventional ways.

He must have forgotten at times he is Anwar Ibrahim and has the ability to bend the rules and make things happen😻

Now that he finally is PM, the public are looking forward for a better Malaysia. We hope pm10 will begin to deliver all the good things that will make our country a place of pride again for all of us.

Happy 2023 folks! And lets give Malaysia a chance.🎊🎄😻
