“I Hanis Nadiah Onn, a national hockey player, with humility and responsibility would like to apologise for deliberately posting a comment on Jan 28. Throughout my 10-year involvement in hockey, I am surrounded by friends from different races who are constantly fighting for Malaysia. I regret my carelessness and again I apologise to those affected.”
The racial slight by Hanis on the Indians is still out there on the Net ....why?
Surely there are Indians out there who have made derogatory comments about the Malays? Melayu bodoh! Melayu malas. And I am sure there are Chinese who have given their two cents worth about Indians. Two Indians can already form a Trade Union. Three can go on strike. What do I think of the Chinese? I don't have to say anything...let me tell you what a Chinese thought about his own people. I remember going to a Hardware store in Bangsar with Gary, a Chinese friend to buy a hammer...and as we walked in, Gary said, let me do the buying...I can get a better price. And he did. Was I upset that a Chinese can get a better price for a hammer in a Chinese hardware store...a better price than a Malay can? No, I am not...them are the realities. That's how the cookies crumble.
We all live among ourselves and try our best to get along with each other. Did Hanis cross the line with her comment about the Indians? Maybe she did. Maybe she did not...but it would have been better if she had not said it....but having said it...should it destroy her career as a national Hockey Player of note?
Surely Malaysians are more forgiving than that.
I do wish there are some Indians out there who will make an effort to reach out to her and tell her ... it's done. Now let us go back to being Malaysians again. No big deal.
Take her out for a meal ...roti canai and teh tarik at the stalls will do. Just make sure Hanis pays...that's the least she can do!
How about it guys...boleh tak...and let bygone be bygones. There are more important things in life to do than hold a grudge against a fellow Malaysian who has already apologized for a silly mistake she made. We are now living in another era - another time, and we need to make an effort to bring our brothers and sister together...no matter what. Let us bring back Hanis into the fold and embrace her as one of us.
Hahaha ....which race/human DON'T smells....even dead bodies do....🤣🤣🤣1444 mindset....missed primary school days😁😁😁
As a minority race the Indians can’t just keep being stepped on and yet remain silent right? They too have feelings and as a race which is most suppressed here I feel justified in being angry and sensitive especially when a person who represents the nation as a player speaks out openly and says such derogatory remarks . Apologising itself does not mean anything if the person does not sincerely regret having said it. And keeps doing so .
Hopefully she has repented it sincerely and holds no grudges and moves on with a generous and open heart with lots of love in her. Not hatred !
Racism at work place lagi teruk. We need the Job so diam saja till we f ind somewhere else. Malay lazy lah, if you are fair , they will say fair like them many others I don't want to ingat.
Yes. She has learnt a lesson and have apologised, case closed and let her serve the nation again.
Remember, always think b4 opening ones big mouth in the world of the internet and soon meta verse
Whats goin on? All races got strength and weakness. Go to ppr and you will see many single parents, husbands mostly in prison or drug addicts,etc..
