One way or the other, those in government must decide how they do government. They have to decide if PMX is prime minister of Malaysia or of just Malaya. Sabah and Sarawak too must decide if they are part of Malaysia or not. This issue of whether official letters to government departments must be in Malay, has been an issue for decades. And still today it is an issue - not only among the rakyat but among those people who should have decided what to do by consulting each other about the matter among themselves - not by making contradicting statement in public.
What do they expect to achieve by doing this?
All that it tells me is that PMX has not done his homework before making the announcement. If they cannot agree over an issue that has been discussed , debated and I think, agreed upon many deacdes ago by the powers that be, how can we be expected to have confidence in their ability to do government well? Or are there Little Napoleons all over the place? Enough said.
West Malaysia will becomes an island after Kra Canal completed...😝😝😝 S S S stupid sabah sarawakian.....PM1 can detach Spore so can S S S detach PM10 🫠🫠🫠
Msia is turning out to be ‘Nation of 3 countries’…………East Msia (Sabah& Sarawak), west Msia from Penang to Johore & green belt……used to be only 2………east & west Msia
We may become a nation of 2 countries again…….. east Msia and green belt 😯😯
Notwithstanding of the above, but more generally, according to current reality, future trends and trajectories, perhaps and regretfully so, our Sarawakian and Sabahan brothers, purely for their own sakes and interests in their future, should consider the possibility to be away, apart and freeing themselves from Malaysia's current national policies of bigotry, high corruptibility and toxicity, of using race and religion to both define and divide her citizens, which inevitably would only lead to a ruinous situation. Same advice applies to the rest of us in Semenanjung.
We need to ask ourselves which kind of governance will secure our future of a united, happy, safe, healthy and prosperous Malaysia? This future is determingly in our hands, not tomorrow but NOW.
This language issue is a simple manifestation of a general prevailing attitude among most Malaysians from Peninsular (akin to or metaphorically a symptom of a disease). Leaders from Peninsular consider Sabah and Sarawak only as an afterthought or whenever their votes are deciding factors for power. This is not new. KL, and later PutraJaya is in a perpetual habit of maintaining this practice this little by little with enablers from both Borneo states. As they say, "sedikit sedikit, lama lama jadi bukit". Therefore, now, to flatten a mountain is more challenging to say the least.
Agree
PMX should.discuss with Sabah & Sarawak, understand their ways before caving in to Little.Napoleons with poor command of English.
Now, an unnecessary.storm has blown up.
Most unfortunate the announcemrnt was insensitive and firing from the hips.
