DSAI has to dismantle the silos of separation and systemic suspicion built by Dr M.

Comment:

Brother,

You juxtaposed the report on the 'plundering idiot' with an assessment of the unity government DSAI inherited, I keep saying, a mess.

He has somewhat compounded the mess. His choice of education and health ministers wasn't the best. He could give up the finance portfolio on November 24 when he completes a year in office to someone like Rafizi, the uncut diamond in his cabinet. He should appoint Dr Dzulkifli to take health.

There are far too many embassies given our precarious finances. A complete rationalisation exercise for our foreign policy is long overdue. Our focus should be on ASEAN and CHINDIA- two countries that were not given sufficient importance by Dr M- partly because of his jaundiced view of these communities in our beloved country.

DSAI has to be more proactive in integrating Sabahans & Sarawakians into the federal administration and give higher priority to attracting other minorities into the teaching and uniformed services. We need to build a Malaysia where everyone has an enhanced sense of belonging and community. DSAI has to dismantle the silos of separation and systemic suspicion built by Dr M.

Let us get this right.

Good governance is not anwar's priority.

Apartheid and nationalist policies remain entrenched for personal interest above equality, fairness and rationality. That includes in education where those in charge are void of technology and current developments and still stuck with same old policies crafted in previous millennium.

And hurdles created just to make life difficult for non malays. Especially in education and businesses. These policies remains. No " reformasi" but more umno-isy.

Zero research and development money and we expect to attract our people back?

Money better used to give to rural poor for votes at the expense of progress for all.

I don't really expect any changes after one year but more of the same…

1. China and India were not given due focus in the 80s & 90s mainly because there were not much value added that these 2 countries can provide us. Technology and FDIs then were in the hands of the western countries and Japan. Subsequent leaders like badawi, Najis still largely followed similar policies. Of course on hindsight we should have paid more attention to china’s potentials……… even the western world overlooked china’s potential……. Of course if everyone were to base on hindsight , all of us will be better off in our lives in every category…….India is still generally as backward as before.

2. Anwar and future PMs will never be inclusive in attracting a fair share of non melayus…

Sabah, sarawak and Singapore had a combine voting block of 33%.

When singapore left, the 8% went to peninsular. When by right, it should have gone to sabah and sarawak.
