A song and dance have ensued over a Minister's statement that there will be no golf played semasa waktu pejabat!
What does he expect to gain from making this kind of statement?
A pat on the back from you and me for reading the riot act to those civil servants who play golf during office hours? Does she expects high praise from PMX for a job well done? Or has he now put the fear of God into those civil servants who think that playing golf during office hours is one of their perks as civil servants?
Minister Nga Kor Ming, these are things you need not have to speak about in public. Just write a memo to your heads of departments and tell them to make sure office hours are meant for urusan negara....nothing more and nothing less. Do not make a song and dance about it all so that you can win brownie points from the rakyat and from PMX.
And you better make sure that your office hours are spent on urusan negara too for you can be sure that many many civil servants will now be keeping an eye on the things you do as their Minister. Enough said.
They are civil servants, earning their salaries from the tax payers . So what is wrong in reminding them publicly?
They know they should be responsible but they abused their powers, SO now if the public is aware that they are playing Golf during office hours, the public should ring the bell loud and clear.
To me I see no wrong in the minister telling his ministry official publicly..so what..let the new government and ministers do their job it's only about 2 months..
Still acting like opposition. 😃😃 must have been too long until don't know how to act when in government. No experience!
Nga Kor Ming, not everything needs publicity now.
Once again if you get the ire of civil servants, they may not cooperate with you and may sabotage your other efforts.
