cakap cakap..the natives are restless!

Selamat Pagi Malaysia.

How many of you remember elections pre-2018? Before PRU14?

In those days when Umno Warlords hold sway over Malay voters? Do you still remember how we all talk reverently and with awe about the Umno electoral machinery? How cekap were they in being able to ensure that the votes will go to Umno? How Umno had their people on the ground taking care of the Malays in the hinterlands, in the rural areas, in the villages, and even down to the level of families and individuals?

Those were the days when the Ketua Umno at the state, bahagian and cawangan level, could tell their political masters by how much their margin of victory will be - at any state or general elections. And off course to keep the Umno electoral machinery well "oiled", slicked, and rolling on, the Umno Warlords needed a war chest to win the war against all those who are out to destroy Umno...for if they destroy Umno, they also destroy the Malays and also destroy the nation that the Malays call their Tanah Air. Those were compelling reasons for the Malays to vote for UMNO!

Those were the days, not too long ago, when Najib still thought that the "you help me, I help you" offer to the people of Sibu with some drainage problems in Rajang Park costing RM $3 million....would win him the election there. It did not!

Those were the days when Umno thought that free petrol and packets of beras and cooking oil will sway voters to vote for Umno. The time when BRIM, offers of land titles to Felda settlers and promises to do this and that for this village and that village, would, so Umno thought, make a difference come election day. Those days when many millions of ringgit were needed to win elections. And Umno had those millions.

Umno had the electoral machinery, had the operatives, had the money...and yet they lost PRU14! They started losing long before PRU14, but PRU14 in 2018, saw UMNO lose a general election.

And after PRU14, elections in this wretched Tanah Air of ours, were no longer about free petrol, packages of beras and cooking oil and no longer about helping the people of Sibu with their drainage problems. No Sir!

These days, what will win elections is the ability of politicians to win the hearts and minds of the Rakyat. Yes for sure the Malays still dominates...but the rakyat are made up of the people in Sabah and Sarawak, the Chinese, the Indians, and everyone else that calls Malaysia home...and of course, the Malays. These days, the people of Malaysia vote with their hearts and mind....more minds than hearts really.

That is why the Green Wave of Muhyiddin and Hadi which threatens to take the government from PH, is real. That is why the coming state election that will decide the fate of PH, PMX, and everything else that is part and parcel of PH and PMX, must be a concern not only to PH and PMX, but also a concern to all of us who want PH and PMX, to succeed.

And that is why this PH government and PMX must understand that winning the hearts and minds of all of us that want them to succeed is critical and crucial to their survival dalam masa terdekat.

The question that we now must ask ourselves is simply this.....is PH and PMX winning the battle to win our hearts and our minds?

The simple answer to that...for the moment....is "YES".

Zero tolerance for corruption is a no-brainer. Everybody says "YES".

Taking RM$60 million from Syed Mokhtar to give to the deserving farmers - another resounding "YES".

Giving RM$50 million each to Kelantan and Terengganu for flood relief - "YES"....and the "YES" have been coming in thick and fast...but not without some doubts and questions being asked of some of the other things that are being done by PMX and this PH government.

What these doubts and concerns are, have already been discussed at length by you and me - and we all know what these concerns are. All that we can do now is hope that these doubts and concerns of ours, are addressed by PMX and the PH government.

We do not want these doubts and concerns to continue growing daily. ...for as I have said earlier....to win elections, these politicians now have to win the hearts and minds of the people who will decide their political future. And with the state elections looming...and with the Green Wave already knocking at PH gates ....we can only hope that PH and PMX will not forget that!

Enough said.

to win election these days is to expose the falsehood and lies by leaders of the green wave (where even there’s no evidence in Quran that color green is anything) Pas or whoever about their twisted beliefs on True Islam - mostly deliberately n knowingly to be used as tools while those innocent others for simply being naive n gullible to belief everything what their ustas says .. n to stop being mislead n self indoctrinated instead of getting properly educated - which is why the national education system n policies of emphasising religion for hereafter n less knowledge of science n dunia NEED to be relook seriously .. so far I see nothing done that can change the cours…

To win election and power in malaysia today is to be able to 1. propose new ideas and 2. form the right coalition.

1.Gender equality proposed and decided by pmx's ph cabinet last wednesday is one such proposition. Pmx is getting overwhelming support from dap and pkr. It is a way forward.

Trans and gender diverse people (LGBT), one that do not conform to established ideas of sexuality, affected by gender inequality will now have equal responsibilities and opportunities.

Auto citizenship can be given to children born overseas to malaysian mothers regardless the father is around or not.

This is a way forward for gender equality and the kind of new ideas that pmx and his unity government cabinet are…

Apart from all that DSAI Administration has implemented , I think this current wave of demand from younger citizens B40 for EPF withdrawals may have some merits. This could be the voters base that could be lost if the Govt does not heed to these genuine demands of those that really need this withdrawal.Suggest the Govt provide a soft loan against using their assets in EPF as collateral and interest payment be made in the interest they will earn from their account. Some banks or BNMcan co write these loans.

Replying to

Most b40 have 0 left in their epf.

Same time epf only have less than 1% of its around rgt1 trillion in cash or cash equivalents.

The rest are put to work in the form of bonds, notes, debentures. Theres some in properties such as the one in london battersea and melbourne city project with osk bhd.

Epf also tend to lend their cash to ltat, pnb, tbg haji etc and hold their shares as collateral.

To place that out means a big loss. All the papers are worth less than 50% of its value.

So this is why pmx cannot deliver this request. Remember madoff? or that ftx guy? Similar but lawful 😄
