These are the images of our two leaders - being human, being one of us - that I prefer to remember on this Tuesday morning. A truly depressing morning when you think that the chatter on the NET and among Malaysians, questions what these two leaders will do with the pardon that Umno now seeks for Najib Razak. That same Najib Razak that has been charged, found guilty, and is not even months into serving his twelve years jail sentence now wants to be pardoned. Really?
In all the postings that you read, in all the comments that Malaysians are exchanging with each other, and in all the news out there that talks about this pardon and the likelihood that our King and our PMX may grant that pardon for Najib, I would suggest that you stop for a moment and think.
Think what decent, sane, and reasonable people would do if they were confronted with that request by Umno to pardon Najib?
I believe that in the final analysis, our King and our PMX will say "NO" to that pardon because, in those moments that count, our King and our PMX are decent human beings like you and me. The King, our PMX, and we, the rakyat, will not want someone like Najib Razak who had abused his public office and caused great harm to Malaysia and Malaysians, to be free until he understands what harm and what wrong his greed has done to all of us. And for that to happen, a few more years in jail for Najib would help.
So let the business of a pardon for Najib be left in the good hands of these two leaders - our PMX and our King. They will not let us down...of that, I am sure. Enough said.
Bro, I have my disquiet all along. Whilst, both our King and PMX may have stayed silent thus far and even it is very likely that all of it in the end in reality is much ado about nothing, however, I still object to these extraneous or superfluous chatter because by its nature it serves Najib's cause better or more gainful for him than the good people of Malaysia. Given that we are a relatively young democracy without sufficient and robust conventions, and tried Constitional defences, and the crooks having billions of ill-gotten dollars sloshing around at their disposal, and with our history or national inclination of submission and acquiescing to "Cash Is King" rogues and perpetrators in our natio…
see.. that’s the strategy of Umno n Najib’s supporters .. first they get everyone woke up abt the prospects of Najib being pardoned almost instantly when they know esp PMX will not support or recommend it .. n King cannot simply pardon because based on constitutions, due process n conventions any convict has to serve certain yrs and also for what crimes.. crime against 1 or 2 people maybe forgiven .. but crimes of high treason and grand corruption by No 1 leaders against the State and people is not forgivable - one sh be reminded n put that to our heads.. Umno fellas know that.. so they first start to scare everyone that he can be release at once…
All the PB have to do is to ADVISE the DYPA to wait until BK exhaust all his pending court cases and then serve minimum 1/3 of his jail sentences b4 even entertaining his pardon application.ThI is the due process - ikut sahaja, simple.
