Salam Bro
I am equally in the dark as u r about this Latifah.
Some friends, including a lawyer ex Chairman of Media Prima TV3, met her while she was SPRM regional Boss.
From a family of 15 siblings, in Sik, Kedah, she used to be a PAS sympathizer..and a brother was killed in the Memali tragic shooting.
Father was also a local politician. Sik is a PAS area.
Apparently has a career history of being rebellious, and she holds the present MACC in low regard.
She has made it clear that she is not a Mahathir person and believes that he is the root of many of today's political ailments. Unfortunately, being threaded upon.by Najib & co is a different mode...but equally damaging, especially to uninformed rural folks.
So far, the animosity between factions of PKR and Mahathir is unabated. Many are scornful of the renegading of the handover of the Premiership the last time they were in a team.
In fact, all indications are, Mahathir is using Anwar to be on top with no real intent of handing over...ever.
The deep state and dark secrets of both, are known to each other and could benefit other politicians if the curtains are ever lifted.
Mahathir has Long John Silver Daim as Gatekeeper..
Anwar is supposed to have the likes of MCOBA with him...but strangely some in MCOBA detest him...for reasons only known to them.
Cronyism and self-serving and indulgences are weak traits of most politicians, and both Mahathir & Anwar are no angels here.
But both have common political adversaries....So the strategists must be prudent in the use of available arms...
At 97, Mahathir deserves a good rest and could contribute in advisory roles....as age is irreversible and impair faculties and abilities, naturally.
Despite his dream to see his son in a senior political position, all & sundries know that since his defeat to KJ in UMNO Youth leadership race, years ago, KJ has, in chameleonic ways adapted to changes, stayed ahead with the leadership pack and profiteering.
In a smart move that caught many by surprise, KJ." magnanimously and brotherly" ceded the Rembau seat to Tok Mat...gaining, sympathy, respect, and Brownie points.
And "minutes" later....while still basking in glory, Tok Mat was jolted, back to reality when Yusof Bador, ex IGP, with memories of all SB files in his head, decided to stand against Tok.Mat.
U have to give credit to KJ who has mastered the fine art of political espionage.
The political lines are drawn, the voters continue to be confused....and end of the day..its "whats in it for me", financially and emotionally, will decide.
It's the choice of picking the best of the recycled politicians that we have...almost all with battle scars, fractures, and some on antibiotics.
End of rantings.
Hamid Bador
Good, honest people need to run for public office. If not, the crooks (everybody knows them) will have an easy run of the house.
WoW.. Nice of Yusuf Bador to turn up in the right place at the right time too ! 😆
