Can those pseudo-entitled, once-high and mighty political leaders, that used to walk in the corridors of power, understand how we look at them today? Do they understand what social media can do, and has done, to inform and educate the rakyat about their deeds and misdeeds - in and out of public office? We know what they did and what they did not do. We know all that, and more....as we know that there are problems in the Pearl of the Orient. Someone wants the pearl!
Yes, there are problems in paradise aka Penang!
What problems can there be? The Pearl of the Orient has good governance, delivered on the promises they have made to the people of Penang, and as far as we know it, there is no way in hell any other political party can even think of any Tanjung Three moves. So what problems have DAP got in Penang?
Despite Guan Eng denials that he wants to unseat the DAP Chief Minister in Penang, in truth, Guan Eng DOES WANT to unseat the Chief Minister of Penang! Guan Eng wants to be Chief Minister of Penang...again!
To be Chief Minister of Penang again, Guan Eng has to oust the perfectly capable current Chief Minister. This is increasingly becoming a problem for DAP because people in Penang, people in DAP, and any other stakeholder of any potential "business opportunities" in Penang, have to take sides. If the status quo remains - no problem lah...but there are the opportunists who know that if there is a change at the top, and if they back the new chap, they will be reaping the political spoils sooner, rather than later. So you take sides.
In the coming days, if Guan Eng does not cease and desist in his attempt to be Chief Minister again, this problem in Penang will become a DAP problem. There are already leaks here and there.
The recent leak of a document pertaining to the Chief Minister of Penang Incorporated (the business arm of the DAP government in Penang) tells us of the carte blanc powers given to the Chief Minister to do as he likes with Chief Minister. of Penang Incorporated.... suggesting that when anyone has that much leeway in doing business with OPM (other people money) then more likely than not, they will abuse the trust. But there was no mention that the current Chief Minister has done anything wrong. Why not? Because the current Chief Minister is not that kind of Chief Minister. He has not abused the trust placed in him. So much for the leaked documents.
The current Chief Minister is doing a decent job...so what reason is there to do away with him? There really is no reason to change the Chief Ministers in Penang, except to cater to the whims and fancies of Guan Eng. Enough said.
