cakap cakap..daim, mahathir, najib, anwar, zahid hamidi, taib mahmud, tok mat, kj…what are the limits?

Najib Razak, to the surprise of many Malaysians, was found guilty, sentenced, and is now incarcerated in Kajang. If common sense prevails, his wife will join him dalam masa terdekat. But surprisingly, the fallout from 1MDB has been deliberately contained for political convenience. If you want to do the right thing, the list of people who should go to jail for receiving 1MDB money will probably decimate too many political elites to make the idea of that happening simply an exercise in futility. There will probably be no Malay politician of any significance, left if that were to happen.

In these last few days, we have been told that Daim is now a person of interest to MACC. While Najib’s main meal ticket was 1MDB, not so Daim. There are a few things Anwar will have to ask himself. How far will he go in his move to get Daim? Is this a targeted attempt to take out Daim and his other political enemies?

Or is this truly a crackdown on corruption and the abuse of political power that, if PMX is to be truly honest with himself, should include himself?

For you see, if truth is to prevail, the expose of the use and abuse of political power for personal gain cannot just stop at Najib, Daim, Mahathir, Zahid Hamidi, and Anwar Ibrahim. The can of worms it will reveal may decimate not only Umno but also every political entity that we have ever known in Semananjung, Sabah, and Sarawak! There will be no political elites left to speak of, and PMX, however noble and true he intends to rid Malaysia of the scrouge of corruption, will need to think about the consequences if the nation is to lose these so-called political elites in one fell, swoop - even if such an action will strengthen our nation for all time.

As I see it, over six decades of rampant and invasive corruption cannot be rid of by going after Najib, Daim and anybody else now being investigated by MACC. It has to go beyond that. It must start with the education of our young. They must be taught about the prevalence and the impact it has had on our nation's growth and development….and going after the corrupt cannot be how the incoming leader and his government, rid themselves of their enemies.

By all means, go after Daim, but please PMX, there must be a method to the current madness of what PDRM, MACC, LHDN, and other authorities are doing in their attempts, not always successful, of combating corruption. Let us inject some dignity into the fight against corruption. Let it be done by those authorities tasked with doing so BUT first please ensure that these authorities are led by good honest men and women who will do their duty without fear or favour. That, I am sorry to say is still sorely lacking in this Madani Unity government that prides itself that good governance shall be the foundation upon which it shall govern us all. So please Mr. PMX, do the necessary now rather than later.

Enough said.

Looking at all these names of MahaFiraun, Hobbitman plus every other UMNO rogue, makes Najib look like a schoolboy who stole that 50sens. Just how much is enough?

No political thieves from Sarawak will ever be brought to justice simply because every sitting PM needs their voting block.
