cakap cakap

I have had friends tell me that people are questioning what I write these days. I have been back in KL these few months and the inference is that maybe, just maybe, I am playing to the gallery because if I do not, I will again be a person of interest to the authorities. Let me just say this for now...I am still a person of interest to the authorities.

Then there are those who think that whether I am in KL or Melbourne, steadyaku47 the blogger still writes with conviction and without fear or favor.....and I smile when I read that. The steadyaku in Melbourne is not the same steadyaku who is in KL. They are not like chalk and cheese, but there is more common sense used by steadyaku in KL than in Melbourne...if you know what I mean....but they still tell me...that I am "brave".

Say what you want of me, but this much I know of myself....I write as I please. Do not try to second-guess me.

I was asked the other day... Tuesday last to be exact...why I no longer write or comment about the Royals in Malaysia. Can anyone tell me if there is anything to write about the Royals these days? Think about it....this Unity Government...this Madani Governmnet...to all intents and purposes came into being because our Yang di-Pertuan Agong had the foresight and the courage to ask DSAI to form the government. And since then, the Royals have given their blessing and unwavering support to ensure that this Unity Government will serve its full term. When they are doing the right thing, let the Royals, in their collective wisdom, continue with their work. Daulat Tuanku.

What of Anwar Ibrahim?

We are all watching our PMX at work. He has not even done his first year as PM and no one can deny that he is different from the PMs that have come before him. Maybe different is too vague a word....DSAI is better. Malaysians are impatient for change. Malaysians are critical of any leader whose cakap tak serupa bikin. Malaysian no longer mudah lupa. Malaysians demand a leader that Anwar says he will be.....a leader for all Malaysians. So even if Anwar is doing better than most PMs that have come before him, we want him to do better!

I will continue to write as I see it - but more responsibly with a view of being positive and constructive...membina...rather than just hantam anything without thinking of the consequences of what I write...especially the consequences to me. I want to be in KL...and to be in KL you need to be inclusive. Or, at least, try to be.

Please....give me space to write as I want, to think as I do, and not try to second guess my intentions. Life is too brief...be good, do good, and be nice to people.

Enough said.

After the 22-year of Mahathir, politics have become shaken by incompetent leaders. Not that Mahathir was a superb leader. He knew the art of politicking better. To him, the ends justified the means. He always had the hammer in his hand....

Pak Lah, Najib, again Mahathir for 22 months, Mahiaddin, Sabri .... all failed as PMs. They were scoffed at by the rakyat.

Now comes the turn of a man who waited for 25 years to become PM. It looks like he's generally doing well. Another 4 plus years in power will see some changes in the country. One advice for Anwar: Don't be too "soft" when handling the extremists who are making "good business" out of religion. The peopl…

"Rome wasn't built in a day," they say. In this highly corrupt knowledge society, everyone eagerly awaits PMX to work magic.

After years of self-enrichment through indoctrination and false narratives, the Malays, regardless of education, resist change. It's a challenging journey, yet with the support of those who believe in PMX's vision, nothing is insurmountable.

PMX should focus on empowering change-seekers and let go of those content with ignorance.

Too much is expected of Anwar! Everyone seems to have forgotten that this is not just his govt. He treads carefully.....but I am sure his knives are sharpened now! PRN was holding him back.....

It's your blog and your prerogative to pen your take on subjects of interest. All those following and reading your side of the story needs to respect and understand that. Those who don't agree either stop reading or agree to disagree. God gave us brains to think. It's up to each reader. There is no compulsion.

Keep it up sir. I may not agree with what you write all the time. But I respect and value your side of the story. You have my vote always.
