It never fails...every time I write about being a Malay, I get messages sent to me privately reminding me that I am talking down my own race. What good, they ask me, will it do to the Malays to have me write about them in such a derogatory manner?
Jesus Christ...I had to go look up what "derogatory" means: insulting or disrespectful....so in the article that I wrote, "Becoming a Malay" I was insulting and being disrespectful to the Malays? How sensitive are these Malays?
The article is about me and my journey to the time and place when being a Malay became a conscious decision made for me because of the circumstances I was in. I am never embarrassed about being a Malay. It is what other Malays do that has embarrassed. Enough said.
Dear sir. There was nothing in your article that is " derogatory" of the Malays. Unfortunately, it is the current malaise in our belloved country. The obsession with form rather than substance. The false premises promoted by the lebais and the elites that a corrupt / lying Malay is better than a non corrupt non Malay simply because Malays are Muslims. The believe that Muslims cannot lie and therefore Malays don't lie. The substance of being a Malay and a Muslim is drowned by the blind faith in form. So, unfortunately, the ability to differentiate form from substance has been lost. But what the heck! It's your blog. Your thoughts. Keep it up. We like reading it
We are just a pawn for the Global Elites....the moment doctor slap our backside....we were catalogue into male/female/nationality/race/religion and etc stigmatized/compartmentalised....."slaved" and "discarded" end shelf life.....
Beginning and Ending just moments of physical journey during which accumulated spiritual enlightenment......😇😇😇
No right/correct or wrong...☕️☕️🥛
