ARE WE READY FOR DEMOCRACY?

FINALLY, AFTER ALL THAT WERE SAID AND DONE, MALAYSIANS WILL GO TO THE POLLS ON NOVEMBER 19, 2022, FOR MORE OF THE SAME, IF NOT WORSE, BECAUSE WE ARE NOT READY FOR DEMOCRACY?

As it is now, the outcome of PRU15 can be fairly predicted. With Zahid Hamidi fumbling around, and the opposition supporters realising the mistake they made in ignoring the recent PRNs, the result will be a hung parliament!

There won't be an outright majority and after the wheeling and dealing, the group that will be able to form a shaky government will probably be led by UMNO, by the skin of their teeth! Why? Because Bumiputeras form the majority (about 70%) of the voters.

Sadly, somehow it will turn out to be a Malay-controlled government against a non-Bumiputera opposition! And if that happens, UMNO will take the lead. Right now, it is the most likely outcome of PRU15!

You may curse us all you want for bringing this up, but the unspoken fact is, it is there for those who want to see; Malays see the PRU as more than an imposed means to vote in an efficient government. It is their bastion of the defence of Malaysia from being overtaken by the immigrant races. So its my race, right or wrong!

We are ALL 'Malaysians'? Heheh! Tell that to the marines.

Stop thinking that Malays are idiots who don't mind their country being robbed by stupid, lazy and incompetent kleptocrats! It's just that they conveniently feel that they have no choice! They want to rid of kleptocrats too, but the Malay opposition intelligentsia keep failing to catch their imagination on the way to effectively do it! It's as simple as that!

The Malay opposition is seen by most Malays as a weak bunch of manipulated wannabes! It may not be true, but perceptions are real. And the Malay opposition does not have the capacity to change those perceptions.

In fact, they did give the opposition Malays a chance but they fuxked it up, as far as these Malays are concerned. How far that's true, God knows, but it is difficult to hide the piss-stink of broken promises and the embarrassment of being conned by a Machiavellian in broad daylight!

We could smell Sheraton Move as soon as PKR allowed ICERD to proceed. What more Anwar Ibrahim and PKR! Paralysis. Sheer incompetence, that was what prevailed in PKR.

How these could have happened is a manifestation of the weaknesses inherent in PKR! To correct them, PKR must first learn to admit that they exist. But it is typical of their victim-syndrome that brought about its founding, that to do so would be a sign of weakness in itself!

Does the prospect of five years of UMNO rule with its unpalatable manoeuvrings scare you? Well, it is still not too late! Come out and vote, and pray that salvation is forthcoming for the 'idiots'.

Who actually are the ones who need salvation? Maybe, it is us! Malays have a proverb; "Melihat bintang di langit, jangan lupa akar di bumi!" (When gazing at the stars, don't forget to be wary of the roots on the ground!).
