ANWAR IBRAHIM THE BRAND!

ANWAR IBRAHIM is a brand! Like NIKE, DISNEY, AMAZON and MERCEDES BENZ it is a brand that has so far stood the test of time - almost three decades!

ANWAR IBRAHIM, until a few months back, was a brand that many people in Malaysia accept, believed in and supported, tanpa was was.

What has changed?

Today, where is ANWAR IBRAHIM positioned when compared with NIKE, DISNEY, AMAZON and MERCEDES BENZ?

This is a question that I have wanted to ask of you all for quite some time, and yet I know that in the asking, I will not get the answers I want, the answers we need and certainly not the answers that ANWAR IBRAHIM, (the brand and the man), will want to hear - at least not publicly.

But here is the worry. When you are a brand as ANWAR IBRAHIM is, your better make sure that your brand stay true to what the public expects of it - or sales will start to fall. And from there, the unraveling of that brand can happen in less than two shakes of a kerbau's tail. KODAK, NOKIA, XEROX, IBM, BLACKBERRY, POLAROID, PAN AM and even our very own, ZAITUN are brands that are no more, or languishing way down south from where they once were.

And Datuk Seri, I fear that the ANWAR IBRAHIM brand is now giving rise to concern for many in Malaysia. Datuk Seri you need to look at your marketing strategy now rather than later. NIKE "Just do it" strategy is catchy, but each brand must have its own marketing plans.

You can start by looking at who endorsed the ANWAR IBRAHIM brand before, during and after GE15. Who is your biggest endorser then? It was DAP and the non-Malays who gave their votes to you at GE15. The Malays and the new young voters were all with the other brands kan?

But more important and critical to maintaining your brand name is the following question: What was the marketing strategy you used at GE15 to get all those endorsements? Actually it was not really a startegy...you got their endorsement because they believed that ANWAR IBRAHIM is the leader they wanted to lead all Malaysians away from the politics of race and religion, the leader who promised no corruption and good governance, the leader in their own image that wanted a Malaysian Malaysia. At that time it was just a promise but they believed you.

Today almost a year after GE15 the ANWAR IBRAHIM brand has lost a bit of its lustre. We all know why the ANWAR IBRAHIM brand has started to lose its lustre. There have been a series of happenings that you excused as being unavoidable, if you were to form government and be PM - but Datuk Seri since then, those happenings have continued to occur at regular intervals... resulting in a steady decline in the integrity and sales of the ANWAR IBRAHIM brand.

Just this week, again you were abroad when the domestic market needs work. There are problems in your own constituency Tambun. Then there is the matter of getting school children involve in the Gaza Israel War., The ringgit is getting a hammering left right and centre, there is still talk about a pardon for Kepit Man. Will there be or will there not be, a cabinet reshuffle? All this is not good for the ANWAR IBRAHIM brand.

Datuk Seri do more research as to what the market wants of and from the ANWAR IBRAHIM brand. Listen to those who truly wants the ANWAR IBRAHIM brand to shine again not for their own personal benefit or agenda but to make sure that the ANWAR IBRAHIM brand delivers on its promise made before GE. If you do not deliver on the promise that the ANWAR IBRAHIM brand made befoe GE15, then the ANWAR IBRAHIM brand might go down the path of KODAK or XEROX...or worse, ENRON.

Enough said.

Some kind of curse on our Prime Ministers who take office and just do the opposites of their promises. Very sad indeed !

In my early blogging days a fellow blogger used to address Anwar as "Bruder Anwar Bin Ibrahim" highlighting in bold the capital letters. Go figure.

After all these years of self denial, I'm beginning to think that blogger was right afterall.

Anwar needs to rid himself of his inner circle and his old ABIM agenda of Islamisation of this country. Happy for Sarawak for standing their ground and not dancing to Anwar's fanatic hero-worshiping of terrorist.

Why did he lie to us all when we rooted for him in rain and water canons and teargas and protests all those years?

Currently it does not matter which side you vote for. You will end up with the UMNO brand. Both sides are filled with ex umno members. With same umno mentality. These are race, religion, country but in actulity, self interest overides e erything else.. When by right, country and citizens should come first, only then race and religion can prosper. The hindrances umno placed to slow down non malays progress remains., except in saraeak where it is dismantled. And sarawak want their own bank as our current bunch are not interested in lending to small businesses and SME's, most were wiped out by muhyiddin's so called covid lockdown, when in actuality, it was lockdown for political consolidation. (Singapore's lockdown was…
