Selamat Pagi Malaysia. In the midst of all this doom and gloom...the war between Gaza and Israel, a clueless Ministry of Education educating our young to be Jihadist, a PM who has been abroad more times than a Travel Agent reminding me of that film "If It's Tuesday, This Must Be Belgium," a Madani government unraveling at the seams as it signals its intent to do government in the same sordid manner as those that has come before it....in all this doom and gloom.....please Mr PMX can you consider these things that might just bring us a slither of hope that maybe, you are different from Mahathir, Abang Lah, Najib, Muhyiddin and Ismail Sabri.
Please PMX....
Abolish, or drastically cut, intercity tolls in the Klang Valley without compensating the toll operators. Why do we not want you to compensate the toll operators? Are not the toll operators the government anyway? EPF, KHAZANAH etcetera etcetera.
Abolish, or drastically cut all other highway and bridge tolls….also without compensation for the same reason. I know that you have calculated that a 30% cut is possible. Do it!
Please abolish the Sedition Act. You guys did it in 2018 for about two months and then Tun Mahathir got cold feet. Now, you or Saifudin - one and the same person really….got cold feet and corner baring on your promise to get rid of Sosma!
Please abolish that really nasty section of the Multi Media Act. Abolish or reform Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act! The broad scope of Section 233 of the CMA allows it to be widely used against human rights defenders and has become a tool of intimidation and harassment by state apparatus in recent years. Last year alone there were 114 cases where Section 233 was used to investigate netizens and human rights defenders for various reasons. A really nasty piece of legislation that has no place in any democracy.
Please Mr Prime Minister, please drastically cut import duties on all motor vehicles. Totally abolish APs for import of all motor vehicles. Do this and the price of motor vehicle will drop.
Mr. Prime Minister you must not be afraid of losing revenue for your government. Whatever moneys the people save will be spent on other consumption. It will generate more revenue for the government. The money will circulate more through the economy. So please Mr. Prime Minister, I repeat, do not be afraid of losing govt revenue. What goes around comes around.
Do all of the above and Malaysian will be very very very happy. And when you make Malaysians happy, they will happily vote for Pakatan Harapan in any elections!
Agree...100%
Dr M's bumi first policy made the gomen poor.
He created proton, but instead of collecting profit taxes, it had to be bailed out. At the same time taxes from other car distributors fell due to unfair competition and drop in sales. SO dr m jacked up taxes of other brands to compensate.but that amount remains much smaller if he had not meddle in the national car business. Plus foreign companies wanting to set up car factories in our country were barred from doing so. That is why thailand is now the detroit of ASEAN.
Same can be said of motorcycles ( modenas), bernas, banks, sugar....all done to curtail non bumi businesses and everytime they do this, tax collection and…
The bridge initially was built by gomen. Then they handed it to a group of smart bumi alec from harvard or something. Then it had to be bailed out by PLUS. ( it seems smart alecs couldn't handle collecting tolls or overspending the money collected). Now its owned by kwsp after najib rejected halim saad offer to buy over the highway with tolls capped at 2013 level. Sold to kwsp at same price halim buying offer. So now, gomen must compensate kwsp for every increase in toll as per agreement which is 10% every 3 years if toll remains at same level.
