A Malaysian Malaysia is coming...and we have lived to see that day! Amen.

Against decades of racial politics, against the hatred and division that religious bigotry has caused between Malaysians, against the "cash is king" mentality that has weakened the Malays considerably, against nepotism, against rampant corruption, against the use and abuse of public office for personal gain, against all odds...the sun that rises in the East tomorrow, will bring with it hope and the promise that the day it brings will be better than the day we have had yesterday!

How different?

Yesterday hundreds of MRT commuters were left stranded after a service disruption - at 6.59 pm a MRT train initially halted at Muzium Negara, before they stopped moving on all lines. Trains on both lines heading to Kajang and Kwasa Damansara were not moving, resulting in commuters being stuck for over 30 minutes.

Let us remind ourselves of what happens when there is a disruption of services under the previous PN government

Today, when these kinds of things happen, we know that the Minister in charge of Public Transport, Anthony Loke, will want to know what happened, why it happened, and how soon things will be back to normal - and...he will take responsibility for what has happened and do his best to ensure that it will not happen again under his watch. That is how different things are today under PMX.

A few days back, Hawkers selling Mandarins for the coming CNY were being harassed by DBKL enforcement officers for Ang Pows. Within hours, on the direct instructions of our PMX, the DBKL Mayor personally intervened to ensure that his enforcement officers knew that he knew what they were doing and took action to ensure that those involved will be disciplined. A few days later, PMX discussed plans to upgrade infrastructure and facilities for Hawkers in KL in a meeting with the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) Mayor and DBKL executive director (socio-economic development) Datuk Azmi Abdul Hamid at the Ministry of Finance in Putrajaya. “Hawkers and petty traders are among the contributors to the national economy who need to be given attention so that they are not left behind,” so said our PMX.

None of this kind of rubbish :

Today, under PMX, good things are being done by good people. That these good people are politicians in government, is refreshing. It is happening because the prime minister wants these things to happen, and he leads by example.

No matter your circumstance, no matter what is your race, religion, or political beliefs, in as long as you are true and loyal to the creed that we are all Malaysians, you can believe that this government will have your back. And we should, in return, pledge our loyalty and our promise to do our best demi kepentingan of our Tanah Air.

But this much we must remember. The deep state within government, the dark forces that align to make corruption possible anywhere a ringgit can be made by the abuse of authorities vested in little Napoleons....all of these are still in place. What has changed is the Fish Head from where the rot begins.

You can begin to hope that whoever heads Felda, Felcra, Risda, or any other statutory bodies and GLCs, will be men and women of honor and will do their duty diligently. You can begin to hope that MPs and ministers will be held accountable and take responsibility for the things they do in the name of the government. That the rule of Law will prevail. Let us leave politics to the politicians, for there now seems to be more...much, much more....good politicians than bad ones.

What we must now do for each other is to take care of each other and watch each other's back. A Malaysian Malaysia is coming...and we have lived to see that day! Amen.

In 1996,a late Chinese Malaysian friend of mine leased a piece of land and open up a club in jalan p ramlee in kl.

He was poorer than most b40 today and lived as a malaysian in one of those PPR flats selling anything to the residence there in kl,mostly melayus.

With absolutely no money, he borrowed 100k (from yours truly with no collateral) to secure the lot and opened up a club.

He named it Emporium and later on the other one, The Beach Club.

None of the contractors, equipment suppliers and carlsberg were paid upfront! Not a single sen! He creatively negotiated for 7 mths credit!

The business became a super success.🏁

Four years later, he offered to buy…
