Always look on the bright side of life and give thanks where thanks is due.
I have no doubt that this year's Bon Odori Festivals in Malaysia will be the best attended ever...and the Japanese organisers have PAS to thank for that. In my 75 years of life, never have I ever come across any festival that has a Bon or an Odori in it....but now thanks to Pas, I will be celebrating Bon Odori every year, anywhere I am.
Frankly, PAS have done a great favour to Japan, to the people of Japan and to Malaysians, by creating this fuss over this Bon Odari Festival, a festival that most of us, including me, was not aware of, before.
And while we are at it, Carlsberg too must give thanks to Pas.
On any given day, I would rather have a Sarsi than the hard stuff. A Sarsi rather than Whisky. A Sarsi rather than a brandy...you get my drift? But when PAS wanted to close up Carlsberg some time back, at least in that week, I did buy three cans of Carlsberg from the Street Cellers in Smith Street....just to see what all the fuss was about.
And as recommended, I put the three cans in the fridge overnight to chill. Next day I had a can at lunch and two for dinner. Nice! A real thirst quencher, but, all things considered, I still would rather have a Sarsi.....but Pas did help Carlsberg sell three cans of Carlsberg to me.
Lol…
